If I find where he said it I'll add it here as an edit. -Also in this video at 9:37 "I just wanted to update you guys because I put up the moons and it might've been alarming but I think I wasn't gone enough to the point where I had to deactivate it." You don't have to react to all of this (even though it'd be super cool if you did 😁) but you can watch it on your own time as well since you really love my favorite solo artist Ian 🥰. I'm going to break this message down into parts underneath my initial message bcuz I don't think Patreon will allow a message this long. Oh and I won't be offended if you find this unhelpful, too long or overwhelming and decide to just check things out that others recommend 👍. It's all love here. I'm just trying to share something I compiled about Ian so it'll hopefully be a bit helpful to someone. So here goes...

AND his stage performances are also insanely captivating

2024-06-25 12:57:58 +0000 UTCThis guy has been on my "to check out later" list for quite a while, but from everything I've heard/read, I knew if I ended up liking him he might end up a new minor obsession, and I might have too many of those right now. That's fine, I'll let you two do the leg work for me here now, thank you for offering. I know nothing except for this now (this video), a quick scan of Wikipedia, and memories of hearing/reading "DPR Ian this", and "DPR Ian that", but I'm so glad there seem to still be artists like him in the world who have mostly full control of every aspect of their artistic vision. Like SKZ, for example, we know they write their own music, but how many concessions do they end up making, in post production, and arrangement, and even the video, which might end up changing what they meant the song to convey? It seems like maybe we get to see DPR Ian's entire vision as an artist, or at least as much of it as we're able in these days with distribution on a global scale, and that's kind of exciting. Anyway, I'm looking forward to exploring this with you all.
