[Tier 2] SKZ - Hyunjin's AOTM Making Film

After the serious discussion we had about creating art and being an artist (watching Wooyoung's ATOM behind), well, Hyunjin's making film got us talking about...Hyunjin...yeh.
Very different in tone, mostly because of how Hyunjin constantly seduced us with self-cams every chance he got, but still the same exhausting process for the performer that made us feel tired just watching.
Jokes aside, this was another excellent video that showcased how much effort and time every artist puts in for a single performance/clip/shoot, and how talented each and every one of them reallllllly are, but also in all seriousness, Hyunjin did very much distract us XDXDXDXD no regrets.

Sexy sweaty Hyunjin . Not the dance instructor Low-key simping for hyunjin. I don't know if somebody from studio choom edited this or somebody from The Stray kids entertainment jyp thing edited this but when it's the stray kids editors, it's so funny. Because they low-key be dissing the kids. Like they be exposing them and it's hilarious. But whoever does the editing does a pretty good job. It is so interesting to watch him get embarrassed after being so locked in and focused on the dance. Y'all freaking out over him getting close to the camera. I can't wait till y'all react to the song Your eyes. Not Han-C choking because of Hyunjin dancing. But I get it. That's so real. D'some completely zoning out on what Hyunjin is saying because he's so beautiful is also valid as fuck. Yes, I was so shocked to find out that hyunjin is an introvert. But after watching so many clips of them I see it now. I mean I've seen it for a while but it's so interesting when you ReDiscover just how introverted he is. Also, if you look at the dance practice video versus the studio choom video, I feel like the dance practice video has a little bit more power. And I don't know if it's because of the camera editing or what, but just look at Hyunjins muscles and all of the tension he holds in his body during the dance practice video versus the studio choom video. And I don't know if it's because of the camera editing or what, but it looks softer. I love that D'some Is just like oh yeah show us your drawing. This man can draw so well. It is so mind-blowing. Like what isn't he good at? Hey I see you referencing the SKZ code Felix never bad! I mean... same Han-C same, i too wanna be that seat. 🤣 Hyunjin is so precious. You know what? Maybe It's because all of his muscles are hidden that it looks softer to me. Because you CAN'T see the tension in his body lines. Did y'all notice that he did not throw his hip in this version. Like the way he did in the dance practice. I don't know if it's because of the floor being different or the nerves, but he did that part a little bit differently in the dance practice video versus the official video. Why is Han-C so real right now. Yes, I want to be the fan. I want to be the suit. I want to be the hat that he threw across the room. I remember that part too D'some 😂🤣. I felt that exhalation of breath D'some 😂. WHY ARE YALL SO REAL?!? I TOO WANNA BE THE FLOOR AND HIS SHIRT!!! 😹🤣😂😹🤣. I know that part had to be so hard to do on what looks like concrete floor. That part was very sexy. The quiet at the end of the video, I feel it, I understand it, I get it. It's so true. Okay so on a count of three we're going to breathe out and the release the tension that we were holding and just unclench our bodies. Yo, why did I think y'all actually ended abruptly like that. That's too funny. I thought Y'all pulled a Lee know. Yes Han-C We know you would go for Felix. The way y'all's mind is so scrambled now after watching all of this stray kids content welcome to DeLuluville of being a STAY. Welcome to wishing that you were a shirt or a fan or a seat or a hat or the floor. It's a strange life but it's a happy life. I had so much fun watching you guys react to this. It's impressive to know the process and how much effort he and the team put into creating this masterpiece. When I saw him sweat and exhausted, I felt more caring than feeling any other way. This is because I am familiar with his kind of behavior when Hyunjin goes live on social media or when sending ASMR voice messages via bubble, so my heart is strong enough, hahahaha. Watching with you guys this time, I laughed a lot with your reaction. OMG!, this is unexpected!! It's so funny Han-c tends to ship Hyunjin x Felix For me, its' Hyunjin x Felix or Lee Know x Hyunjin. One of my favorite ATOMs is JUYEON from THE BOYZ. Interesting dark concept with Billie Eilish's - you should see me in a crown. That being said, thanks for reacting to this. Such a lesson in the craft of excellence. I am continually amazed at the dedication to dance perfection and the resulting transformation from long haired, silly Hyunjin to dramatically charismatic Hyunjin. Priceless! ❤️

I'd heard Red Lights, found the videos, was amazed by the dancing, discovered Hyunjin's dance videos and was blown away because dance too often gets left to a backdrop in Western music acts vs. part of the main performance so I thought it was so cool to see this performer showcasing so much skill centre stage. Then I watched this, the AOTM behind video and in like 2 seconds the contrast of slightly quiet and shy young looking Hyunjin with his dance persona had me. The dedication and commitment was like nothing I'd seen before and I absolutely fell in love with how much respect towards the art of dance there was. From that day on SKZ fully sucked me in as musicians, artists, and people. Before discovering kpop I liked music and performance but I'm not sure I'd ever seen it done to this level. SKZ caught me because they showed me how you absolutely can achieve excellence with enough dedication and practice and I feel like Hyunjin is the perfect embodiment of that. He worked for every inch of his skill whether it came easily or not. I love watching an artist do their thing and this is just peak artistry I love it so much.

2024-05-23 20:16:50 +0000 UTCYour reactions are just the best and so, so relatable. Just as a strange momentary aside....... There are whole videos on YouTube dedicated to Hyunjin's sweat. No, I'm not joking!! HAHAHAHAHA. He's known as one of the sweatiest idols in the business. But obviously we know it comes from intensely hard work on his part. The good thing is, all of the other members say that even when Hyunjin is super sweaty, he smells amazing. Now, back to the video....... You guys kept talking about how beautiful he is and yeah, I agree. It's all Hyunjin's fault. LOL Some people are just genetically gifted to be stunningly, gaspingly beautiful, and one of those people is Hyunjin. Even without makeup (which I usually prefer, TBH) he just renders me speechless. When he's on stage / on camera.....he's just unreal. And when he does photo shoots for magazines and fashion projects, the camera is like his lover. I don't mean that in a creepy way. I mean it's like the camera captures all of his body and facial angles, expressions and intense eye contact with incredible intimacy. It's voyeurism in the purest sense. But his dancing...... I am just more and more impressed by how driven Hyunjin is to give the very best performances he can. Considering where he started from, considering how little sleep he got especially during the early years because he was dancing at school, then doing dance training at JYP until the wee hours of the night.....and then turning right around and going back to school with almost no rest...... He's just so inspirational. I would love to see Hyunjin do more contemporary dancing, and I would especially love to see more solo projects from him. There's just so much untapped potential there.

You can tell how passionate they are by just the way the speak and express themselves. Clearly he did an amazing job, but it's always so impressive to see the hard work that goes into making something seem effortless.

He had not danced since childhood and to become one of the best dancers not only of his generation but in the entire Industry, he worked very hard. It's inspiring. And of course his innate charisma and talents, which he was able to reveal in himself. This is why he is so often chosen as a role model not only by rookies, but also by current idols. He is Idol for Idols. Thank you for your reaction❤

Hyunjin once said you have to practice 200% to give 100% in a performance. I feel like you see that here and why he was considered legendary as one of the hardest-working trainees. He started with zero experience and debuted as a main dancer in just two years, next to Lee Know, who is, of course, a masterful dancer. It just says a lot about their talent and the effort they give to be so good.
