We had a lot of fun with this one, just like we did with TOP, in that we had tons of stuff to talk about, which led us to decide on reacting to more songs. So don't worry if your suggestion didn't make it in this video, because we'll go through the comments again, check out some new links, and return with another slump video very soon :D

Absolutely, it was a single from july 2021, and then in korean on skz2021 later that year. It's just added to The Sound much later (a 2023 release) to also have it in an album, like Top and Slump were added to Go Live. Scars is arguably my most listened to SKZ-song of all, with both versions making it high on my yearly toplists from streaming platforms. It's such an underrated song, absolutely beautiful.

Scars is another one I love and definitely recommend checking out the first take for that. I know Riize, zerobaseone, itzy, &team, (G)I-dle, V, XG, kep1er, jun.k (from 2pm), txt, as well as LiSA (the Japanese singer that collabed with skz for social path and sang the demon slayer season 1 opening) have all been on first take.

I'm a non-Kpop person who is a huge fan of THE FIRST TAKE channel, which provides most of the performances of talented Japanese artists (for example, LISA (JP), TK from Ling Toshite Shigure (Who made Tokyo Ghoul OST), Cö shu Nie, Queen Bee, YOASOBI, etc). One day, the new upcoming premier video was Stray Kids, the first time a K-pop artist appeared on this channel. That time, I and other audiences thought, WTF with that?! But I decided to watch their performance when the video was released because I sensed that this boy group must be good enough to be here to perform in this challenging environment one take with condenser mics. This performance changed my life, and SKZ has had many non-K-pop fans since then.

Like.... his mouth is magic, in the purest sense lol. I came to know SKZ through Hyunjin and dance, and Lee Know is my spirit animal, but there is something about HAN that truly shines on any live stage.. that Kid was made to perform!

Someone probably already told you but it was realised before they added to the sound - in 2021 - as a single with others jp songs (Call and Thunderous jp ver)

Especially the quality of the First Take was just so good. Han's songs are always so emotional and relatable, I hold them extra close to my heart!❤️

As far as if you want to see a visible difference from performance version and first take version, Måneskin does a couple of their songs there that I like, it's almost like an acoustic version that isn't completely acoustic. Baby Metal Monochrome (piano vers.) is good, LiSA has some on there to check out too. Yuuri's songs are probably my favorite after some of the SKZ ones, I really like his music.

2024-05-14 20:43:51 +0000 UTCoh my gosh, the first take ver always gives me chills!! i love this song, i have the first take ver downloaded so i can listen to it on my phone too. the english version slaps though! the rap in the second verse is just too good. what you said about the mix was so interesting! thanks for always explaining so well for us who doesn't know that much about music prodcution <3 the thing about the different mics too! Scars is up next out of the first takes that they have done!! It was my favourite SKZ song for a long time. There's a really beautiful MV to it too, as well as a dance practice and a live performance video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR0NUBEEDYw). there's also a korean ver that came out with the SKZ2021 compilation album. A lot to check out, but if i were to recommend a couple to start with, definitely the first take as well as the MV. Funfact: there's part of an early version of Scars included in Changbin's "Cypher" released a whole year before Scars was released (which you will probably get to at some point in the SKZ-RECORD)

Hahah, yes, yes they can. They kinda have a moment in Case-143. I love Slump so much. The full english version is good too. I agree that it is too short and I wished Felix had little more than just the first lines. There is Mixtape:OH, Scars, Case-143, Lost me more from SKZ Lisa (social path Lisa) has also done first takes. The first takes are often dry like this. Some artist do naked and acoustic version when doing first take. Other K artist to visit 1st take studios: (G)-DLE, Zerobase1, ITZY, XG, RIIZE, V (BTS), TXT, NIZIU, KEP1ER at least. Might've missed some.

2024-05-14 19:13:25 +0000 UTCJust a correction on Scars, it was actually released in 2021 as a Japanese single along with the Japanese version of Thunderous. Therefore, you could react to it and the First Take when you get to NoEasy. But you are correct it was included in The Sound album.

I recommend watching these videos when you also check out the songs. I just love the emotion they put in their singing.. almost a sense of desperation and frustration as the rap increases. I love all the falsetto, but especially the contrast between Bang Chan's falsetto and powerful rap-singing. First Take is such an amazing concept and I hope they do many more videos. I loved Scars, it was released as a single (both in Korean and Japanese) in 2021 after NoEasy album, so definitely hopen you react to it :D. The Korean version was released in the album SKZ 2021 that they released with the OT8 versions of many of their older songs

This is a Han song and written about a low period he had- I love how Han turns things into vivid lyrics like this. First Take is so good! SKZ have several performances on there and they are all very worth listening to.

And yes it's way too short, you want to listen to it again!! I mentioned this before, Felix has said a couple of times that SLUMP is his favorite skz song!! Now to answer your questions: 1. They have 5 The First Take videos, in order: SLUMP, Scars, Mixtape: OH, Case 143 (Japanese ver) and Lost Me 2. SLUMP has an actual MV for the Japanese version! For the other versions, I think the live and english versions are awesome :) I forgot to say that case 143 uses an original mix for the first take!!

It is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. I can't wait to watch this when I get in the house. Okay, I'm home and I'm ready. Let's do this. I absolutely love seeing y'all love the Korean version. But when I tell y'all that one take version is absolutely fucking stunning. Because yes, they have auto-tune in the Korean version and the Japanese version. However, the one take you can hear their vocals more and it's just breathtaking. They also have an English version and I feel like it also holds up honestly. By the way.......did you know that Stray Kids were the first non-Japanese artists to be invited to record on their channel?? The channel was originally created to showcase both established and new Japanese musical acts. Until SKZ, they had never invited anyone who wasn't Japanese to record for them.
