I think this has to be one of my favorite outros from Ateez. It never fails to just make me ascend to another level emotionally.

2024-03-12 01:37:04 +0000 UTCI can't listen to this song often, because (like others) it never fails to catch in my chest and make me tear up. I don't usually cry during it, but it's a heavily emotional experience (by design, I'm sure, given the narration and arrangement) that hits me hard every time. It does very much feel like an overcomer type of song, something that would resound in your heart after surmounting a massive obstacle. It's straight up not allowed to play in my car while I'm driving. Crescent Pt. 2 was the lore-driven instrumental interlude for this album, leading us from World Z back into World A (at least based on the songs on each album half)... and this song feels so connected to it because of the waves crashing. It's like we've traveled from Z to A, opened the door and walked out, are overwhelmed by all that's happened in Z and how the weight is now lifted... while looking ahead and asking, "Is it a new world?" I mentioned before that Captain is on record saying that this album is their way of showing the direction they intend to take in the future. This particular track closing out their first 5 years and this specific series is just chef's kiss for me. MATZ, IT's You, Youth, and Everything all fit into the lore if they want it to, but it's all World A stuff and who on earth even knows where in the timeline that would fall... it could've been real experiences (for their World A characters; confusing, I know) that are either happening or being remembered OR it could've all been a dream following up Dream(y) Day. On a related note ~ Maddox's narration in this track includes two sides, also... -- the darker emotions -- Are you still tormented by the pain from the past? Have you ever panicked and felt broken by sadness? Have you ever lost yourself in overwhelming fear? Have you ever felt so down that you wanted to be alone in this world? -- and the lighter emotions -- Have memories of happiness ever lifted you up? Have you ever been inspired by a dream that felt both far and clear? Have you ever found comfort in the laughter of children? Have you ever fallen in love?

It never fails to make me tear up because it feels like you just finished climbing the biggest challenge of your life and you finally reach the peak and scream out into the world that you did it. The vibe is just so positively powerful. Also I’m pretty sure it’s Maddox who was narrating, he’s the same voice that did the dear diary intro!

2024-03-10 16:55:20 +0000 UTCAmazing reaction as usual ! I am pretty sure that the person narrating is Maddox who is a producer in KQ but is also an amazing rnb singer. He is doing a majority of the narrative in Ateez song because he lived in England for a while (he might even being born there but I am not sure). Sorry if my english is not perfect I am French :) PS : Maddox was in the "Call me anytime" video, he is the one with the higher voice and who was in the shower lol
