[Tier 3] ATEEZ - Take Me Home (Seoul 2022 Concert + English Version)

WE ARE HERE. IF you don't remember, we've already reacted to Take Me Home way back in March (or something) - check that out on YT if you haven't - but that doesn't mean we're going to skip this amazing song. So we decided to take your advice and react to the Seoul 2022 Concert version of this song as well as the lyrics video for the English version, which comes two tracks after.
This is a long video with lots of talk and freaking out, so we'll stop the writing here, but do let us know if you wish to see more Take Me Home videos, and we'll do another reaction for those in place of the English version (since we did that one today).
Otherwise, we'll be skipping that (again, since we did the Eng ver today) and move on to the next!

And you're absolutely right, the other members slay their vocals all the time too and definitely deserve more time in the singing spotlight. I'm glad the unit songs were able to showcase the members more and help other people realize that all the members have amazing vocals. I just want to give a shoutout to Wooyoung for consistently having the most beautiful bridges in all the ateez songs. His voice makes me want to levitate.

2024-03-07 18:16:24 +0000 UTCThe first time I heard this song I actually rolled back from my desk, pushed back my keyboard, and said "what in the kenny g crying in the rain 80s movie montage is this shit?!" I love it so much, it's my favorite song on the album hands down. Your reaction was so relatable and I loved it, naked saxophone ateez gospel spreading and all. Also, thank you to those who recommended the performance. I'd never seen it and didn't know it was missing from my life.

2024-03-07 16:24:45 +0000 UTCIt used to be so hard to determine favorites with ATEEZ, but ever since they dropped Silver Light into my life it's gotten easier to figure out which songs will get to play the most when they shuffle into my mix... I skip a lot, I really do, even some songs that I'm truly a fan of get skipped because I'm just not in the mood or I've heard them far too often already but hate the idea of taking them off my playlist. Take Me Home is one that gets to play happily to the end every damn time it pops up because I'm just never not in the mood for it. Granted, it's an emotion-puller, but I'm always ready to give them hugs and take them home if they need a ride. (To THEIR homes, lol... I don't need them coming up in mine, that'd be like having 8 more kids.) I guess that means it's somewhere among my favorite songs. Granted, there could be a TON of those, I'm scared to even try to sit down and figure that much out.

Also, the "Wooyoung part" in the brigde you were talking about is actually San's part. It's San, then comes Yeosang then San again, the lyric video got it wront there but in the live performance you can see it's San. ☺️

2024-03-06 18:39:34 +0000 UTCEvery time I listen to the English version of Take Me Home, I think it's the Korean version until I pay close attention to the lyrics. That's how good they keep the flow. Did you guys puck up the saxophone in Youth? It played throughout almost the whole song. It's not as strong as the saxophone in this song though. Something that I just realised, ATEEZ's dancing while performing live at Seoul concerts is more in-sync and on beat compared to their European concerts because they can actually HEAR their in-ears at Korean concerts due to the quiet audience. The Europeans are so loud that ATEEZ can barely hear their in-ears, if at all.

A lot of people miss it because it was only released as a single, but it is so good and one of my favorite lore heavy music videos.

They are led by Owner and Lead Choreographer JM and they get their name from Block B who they started choreographing for when Block B moved to Seven Seasons Entertainment (which is a subsidiary of KQ). They have been really climbing up through the KPOP choreography world, choreographing NOT only KQ artists (Ateez, Xikers...) but also for other groups and artists in the industry. PSY's company P Nation uses them exclusively (PSY, Crush, Heize, Swings, TNX, Hwasa, An Shinae, Daniel Jikal and former label mates Jessi, Dawn, & Hyuna), they've choreographed for ParkJihoon, Everglow, WannaOne, Viviz, JBJ, Ailee, BIBI, YENA and for ZICO at his new company KOZ Entertainment (this includes his new boy group BoyNextDoor). 2024-03-06 16:11:09 +0000 UTCResponse to your comment about Mingi's verse still being in Korean on the English Version: So you know that Mingi was on hiatus, he left in November 2020 and came back July 2021, but the album was released in March of 2021, so how was he on it?!?! Because they have all of these albums planned so far out in the future, that he had already recorded all of these songs before he went on hiatus!! My guess is that they chose to keep his verse as is, because he wasn't actively in the studio at that time, and so wasn't available to rewrite his verse in English. If I'm not mistaken, Hongjoong does the English translations himself along with whoever he wrote the song with (The credits only name Mingi, Hingjoong, Leez, Eden and Ollounder as writers, there is no translator listed). He's a very busy bee our Captain, I have to wonder when he sleeps, LOL.
