SKZ Code used to be one of the most chaotic shows we've checked out with members filling audio constantly, over hyping things and trying their best to always entertain us (which they always succeed at doing) so it was wonderful to see them relaxed and comfortable like there are no cameras.
Great show, cannot wait for the last part - as we say, we'll be reacting to the last part as well as Ep 13 which is a standalone episode - so stay tuned for that, and as always,
we hope you enjoyed our company :)

Seeing you surprised by their character and skills is so funny to follow. The learning era of who they actually are is so fun because their character and temperament doesn't really fit their visual haha Hyunjin is an absolute goof but he used to fight with the others a lot. He is very spicy person. He tends to keep his vulnerability more hidden compared to some of the other members but he is still very honest with what he shows. He is also super dramatic. Felix is a baby. Very sensitive and super social. He likes giving and receiving affection and touches people a lot. And he likes to make others feel good or happy.

2024-02-21 11:44:58 +0000 UTCI agree that Hyunjin is the second most athletic member. He played soccer for years, and he was also a competitive swimmer, like Bang Chan. There was one episode a while back where Hyunjin and BC had a swimming race. Chan won, but not by much.

2024-02-20 06:44:46 +0000 UTCOh yes! On Kingdom Week I think? I absolutely loved that, it absolutely tracks because he loves games! He was playing hard, even recruiting his mom haha. I think he can be much more strategic than he is given credit for. It would be really interesting to see how different he is when on his own with Chan (off-screen) or at home with his friends in Australia because I bet he's a riot.

2024-02-20 02:10:22 +0000 UTCThe thing about Felix that gets me is that he's very good at *playing* innocent - so much so that even the other members, who know him better than anyone, routinely get fooled by it. There's a really great example of this where they play a deception game in one of the SKZ shows, and all of them keep checking to make sure Felix knows the rules, does he understand what's happening, while he gives them big eyes and nods along, and meanwhile he's playing the traitor role in the game and ultimately scams all of them to win, turning everyone else into the shocked Pikachu meme. Which is hilarious to me, because when it comes to things with real interpersonal stakes, Felix won't/can't lie, and it's such a consistent part of his personality that the others forget that he *will* lie for fun and profit when they're doing competitive games. He's simultaneously a sweetheart and a devious little gremlin, which is a very Aussie combination - big larrikin energy.

2024-02-20 01:27:24 +0000 UTCIt's really fun looking at the similarities/differences between Hyunjin and Felix. Felix is pure-hearted and sweet, but there is an internal grit that has helped him move to a country where he didn't know the language to become a successful trainee in a brutal environment. The guys have called him sensitive because he's not as tolerant of their mocking jokes as Hyunjin is. But his extroverted nature I think stops him from getting as wrapped up in his own head (he also appears to be prone to distraction judging by the comments on his gaming habits). Of course, all of this is just based on what we are allowed to see of the guys. Felix and Bang Chan have had to navigate keeping their Aussie Bro nature off camera - Felix more successfully than Chan lol - so there are definitely parts of their personality we will never know. But SKZ seem to be as genuine as possible in the public eye, which I think is why Stays connect with them so well.

That is where you will find the inside joke for them calling the chicken “Yongbok” and for another very famous quote/joke. “I am so hungry!”

2024-02-20 00:32:22 +0000 UTCAlso re: Hyunjin's personality. The guys have always said that Hyunjin is the most pure-hearted/vulnerable of the group, even compared to Felix. He's quite introverted and highly emotional which I think can come off as cold when you're wrapped up in your thoughts and feelings. I'm pretty similar and I know that my defense was to always to appear like the most fierce to deflect further pain. He also had a chip on his shoulder because he didn't want to be known for just his visuals but didn't have confidence in his skills yet. I think growing up as an only child also plays a part in having to develop a tough outer skin through the outside world rather than interactions with people who ultimately love you. The trainee/debut years were really hard for all of them, but I think Hyunjin was one of the most affected (I will never forget the videos of him breaking down while singing Grow Up at a fanmeet and at their first concert). Over time he has matured and grown more resilient. He is more confident and has found artistic ways to express himself which I think allows him to be a little more open too. Apparently, I have a lot of thoughts on him haha, but his younger self reminded me a lot of my younger self.

2024-02-19 22:52:51 +0000 UTCAhh I love these episodes. Lee Know has always given me the vibe of someone who grew up humble ever since we saw his bundles on the survival show. I think he grew up in a quite rural part of Gimpo and his grandfather owned a farm so add on that he is the best at cooking, they knew they were in very capable hands. And don’t be surprised at Hyunjin’s athleticism! He grew up playing multiple sports and I would say he is right under Chan for being the most athletic of the boys. Chan is the best swimmer but I think Hyunjin might beat him at soccer. Seungmin is also athletic but I think his main sport was baseball. The rest of the guys are more martial arts based. Except Han. Han doesn’t like to move if he doesn’t have to 😂

2024-02-19 22:19:03 +0000 UTCThese are some of my favourite SKZ Code episodes! I love I.N reverting to his grandma persona and yelling at Hyunjin, "Come help your grandmother do the dishes! This is how you'll find a bride!" - it cracks me up every time. The hair salon is also incredible content, and together with the third episode, it's where you really start to see more of Han and Lee Know's particular dynamic, which I love. Also, re: Hyunjin's personality as discussed at the end, I think the phrase you were looking for to describe his vibe more when he was younger is resting bitchface (affectionate). He's such a fascinating guy, and he really is, as you say, pure. He comes across differently during the survival show era partly because he's younger, but mostly I think because of the stress of the situation: he's more indrawn, closed up to protect himself, but once he relaxes and grows a little, he can be incredibly silly. (As SKZ Code goes on, you'll start to see more of his individual dynamic with, in particular, Changbin, which is great.) I also think it's fascinating to compare Hyunjin and Felix in this respect, because a lot of people look at Felix and assume he's innocent/pure in the way that Hyunjin is just on the basis of his aegyo and his looks, when he's really super not. I've said this elsewhere, but the thing to remember is that Felix is deeply culturally Australian: unlike Chan, he only knew minimal Korean growing up, and he had longer in the Australian school system (Chan coming back to Korea at 13 as a fluent Korean speaker vs Felix coming at 17 and having to learn the language). Felix has, I think, a genuinely dirty sense of humour (positive) and is having to work hard quite a lot of the time to keep it on lock; he also has to work not to swear, which I think it one of the reasons why he speaks more slowly in English on camera. Whereas Hyunjin can project a vibe of being more worldly and cool, but is in reality, not sheltered, but much more innocent at heart.

2024-02-19 22:09:32 +0000 UTCI love these eps, this had one of may fav Chan jokes, when he is telling everyone to get stuff, like Han water, Felix forks and then says Hyunjin visuals and Hyunjin jumps up and cups his face...sooo cute! I also want to second the Lee Know comments, it is in shows like this were he really feels like the mom of the group, like Seungmin asking permission to go pick cabbages and him taking charge of the cooking. Chan with the fire making and Lee Know with the cooking is so dad/mom coded, the others would be lost without them :)

He's helped out with his grandfather's farm I think he mentioned, and he lived alone before joining SKZ so sometimes it feels like he has more 'adult' skills than some of the group and it can be fun to see. I also really enjoy the family vibe SKZ give when they hang out- a bit chaotic but very comfortable. It's just wholesome relaxing content.

2024-02-19 20:21:51 +0000 UTCI was literally terrified to watch Han and I.N handle an ax. Like, not the children!! And i LOVE seeing Lee Know cook. Like if it were not for Lee Know I don't know how they would have survived out there. Lee Know is a talented and domestic man. Changbinnie is me in this situation 😹. The fact that they gave them a dull knife is wild. I love all of their laughs. It just makes my heart happy to hear them. Han and I.n playing volleyball or foot volleyball is so ridiculously precious. I love watching their team work. That's funny. We also played badminton in school. I was very bad at it. Ikr Han-C when d'some said he would get the ice cream for you I was like "there's no way ice cream would last on a flight from Korea to Canada" then he said I'd eat it for you i was like "😒 wooooow" 😹😂😹. Once again i am Changbinnie in this situation. I'm decent at cooking but when i get around people that can COOK COOK i feel clueless and end up asking "silly" questions bcuz i end up overthinking 😩. Team mysterious kkami (han, I.N, Hyunjin, Lee Know)was so cute. See Hyunjin looked nice with the curls but when I.n combed it out it looked strange. But they still looked good 😂😹. I think all of them looked HARDER when they were younger (with the exception of I.N and Seungmin) bcuz they were going through the ringer. But yes Hyunjin is very childlike and whimsical. He is so dorky and lame but in the best most endearing way (does that make sense?) You mentioned it before but their laughs are just... magical. But I'm so happy to have been a part of your SKZ journey. To get to watch you guys discover new facets of the boys and love them just as much as we do. Loved this video can't wait for more 🫰🏾🫰🏾🫰🏾

They're so hardworking in everything that they do and share so much of themselves. They just truly come across as some of the most interesting people. I want to be best friends with all of them lol

Their son and our kids would run around the camp while we parents set everything up and just fell into certain roles as far as getting the campfire ready, cooking, washing dishes, etc. And then just spent the rest of the time relaxing, playing games, roasting marshmallows, going for nice walks, chilling by the fire, etc. All while giving each other a hard time, telling jokes, doing our own thing, and laughing a LOT. So, so, so many good memories. These two episodes gave me the same feeling, and it just really made me smile.
