I can barely listen to this. I tear up every time. 😭 Especially having an animal now thinking about the future and having an animal that ahs passed.

2024-02-12 04:32:00 +0000 UTCcatching up to content i couldn’t watch the last few days— yeah i freakin LOVE hyunjin’s songs. they always wiggle into my heart somehow. his lyrics and his voice just resonate with me. he did say during the two kids show he did with i.n (ep.2) that he writes very poetic lyrics compared to i.n’s more direct wordings, and they both hope they can learn some of the different styles from each other. and absolutely, i loved this song as a super chill, cuddly kinda vibe when i first heard it, without understanding the lyrics, and then i saw the video… suddenly, yeah. tears. letting go of pets is a unique kind of pain. 💙

The first time I watched this MV without knowing Korean and the story behind the song, I felt like I was his dog at the end; this was the song for his passed-away dog. After knowing he wrote it for his first puppy, who passed away when he was young, and knowing the lyrics, I cried a lot when I watched this MV again. I realized that the story of MV is about Hyunjin bringing back his time-machine box that contained his sadness for his dog. He celebrates his Christmas time with the memory of his little star.

2024-02-09 02:59:09 +0000 UTCYep, I cried. I had dogs when I was young and lived with my parents (they still have dogs). Once I was out on my own though, I got cats. But I still feel the same way when a cat passes on. Losing a pet is like losing a part of yourself.

Interesting that you chose to listen to this song while being jetlagged. This song low-key makes me cry. Hyunjin definitely looks stunning in this video but i just end up in tears while smiling. Yes it was about his puppy. I could SEE the emotion on D'some's face. Awww my babies. Yea, this was a sad one for sure. I absolutely LOVE the sound of the chorus. It gets so atmospheric. But also sounds kind of contained. Its strange but i love it. The construction of the music was phenomenal. Of course i cried. Im a big baby.

HAN wrote a song for Seungmin called "Hold On," also about losing a dog. It's beautiful.
