We've said this before, but being able to compare two different versions of the same song back to back is SO much fun, especially since it shows their improvement, thought process, etc.

And what a pleasure to see the boys still believing in (most of haha) their old songs because the stories they're telling in them are still good and valid and deserve to be re-told.

2023-11-26 21:26:25 +0000 UTCThe SKZ version of this mixtape is nearly impossible to not sing along to. The whole thing feels like a big hug at the end of a rough day. It's definitely a great precursor to songs like #loveSTAY and Youtiful.

2023-11-25 23:27:52 +0000 UTCalso! idk if others have mentioned before but another special thing abt the group versions is that it was more or less the first songs the rest of the kids wrote! they all wrote their own lines (ofc minus the chorus parts), that’s why all of them are credited as lyricists for these ones….it’s truly such a special project to show just how involved they all are in their music🤍🤍🤍

It's fascinating and wonderful to see their improvement - in addition to the newer version being cleaner, I think you can see 3racha getting better at riding the beat when they rap, rather than just coming over the beat, if that makes sense? Like, a lot of Changbin's earlier stuff in particular, the lyricism is there and the delivery is powerful, but it comes out like a verbal juggernaut, unstopping - which is its own kind of skill and not unimpressive, but seeing him take the same verse and give it just a little bit more play in the cadence and delivery is incredible.

2023-11-25 22:21:28 +0000 UTCso basically the mixtapes that are on the earlier albums are these same songs, they were added to the physical cd albums but not on streaming platforms until yellow wood era. so the mvs came out during the time each album was released (mixtape #1 during i am not era, etc.) there’s also a mixtape #5 that is released during levanter but isn’t in the official track list on streaming platforms until they re recorded their old music on the skz 2020 and 2021 albums after woojin’s departure.

2023-11-25 21:55:45 +0000 UTC3racha tracks were all 2016 and 2017. They stopped releasing tracks as 3racha when SKZ debuted. Once SKZ started doing unit tracks and skz player/record tracks, then we got more 3racha stuff.

2023-11-25 21:52:59 +0000 UTCWhen you get the chance, I think you both would really enjoy Han and Seungmin singing duets on their already-released songs, Volcano and Hold On. These performances were at the end of their first new episode of 2 Kids (hosted by Changbin) that was released a few days ago. People are going WILD for their duets. Han and Seungmin singing together are pure magic. Hold On, especially, is just spectacular. It made me tear up.
