As I commented on your MEGAVERSE Unviel reaction, I couldn't tell if I would love this song because of the drop. I felt it was similar to Blackpink (which was very annoying) BUT!!! After listening to the full song from the released album, OMG, this is the track I love every piece of element. The bass hit my heart heavily, and I realized the drop was so unique. They used a samp sound that twisted and turned. Somehow, it gave the vibe of a Korean / Chinese traditional instrument combined with the dark vibe of the drop. And yes!!! The last bridge before the ending is the finale! They go with heavy drums and bass like their 0325, Domino, but this is very impactful with the hype of bass hitting the hardest ever. I agree this is the best till now with everything you've been listening to. But I can tell there's more excitement waiting for you guys.

Usually there's just a switch up, but here the 'welcome to the stray kids hot megaverse' was ramping up the bpm steadily over time

Han-C putting the ass in S-Class (albeit accidentally!) :D I really fucking love this song - it goes so hard, but especially from a lyrical standpoint, I love how the early verses overlap and reference each either. Felix's opening verse starts with counting (un deux trois) and then Chan's starts with enumeration (first second third) leading into an extremely cool zeugma (fourth/wall); Changbin has all the pop! sounds in his verse, and he ends it with a line about not being on their knees, which leads directly into Han saying "slap on the knee"; his verse ends with jaws dropping, and Seungmin picks it up again with "speechless, wordless." And as well as that, you've got the thematic echo with mega throughout - megaverse, Megatron, megaton - and big bang/making bangers. Also, this is my prediction: as Chan has hinted at a special celebrity cameo in the intro to the album, and as people were already speculating about it before that, my guess is that the cameo is Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, and more, that Megaverse is going to be in the next Deadpool movie, with the fourth wall line a specific reference point (because Deadpool's whole thing is breaking the fourth wall, and the line about jumping between the multiverse is very much what the MCU is doing right now). Can't wait to see if I'm right! :D

You guys go ahead and THROW that underwear because Megaverse deserves it- it’s just a mindfu…dge of a song. Some of my favorite little touches are Chan’s low-voiced rapping in the beginning that’s followed by a slight echo, just enough to be unnerving, the actual increase in BPM as they say “welcome to the stray kids hot Megaverse,” Seungmin’s prechorus going from fast to half speed, AND the “STRAY KIDS HOO” being a callback to Miroh (it’s like…that was us in our former universe. We are more powerful now). And I was thinking the same thing! While it’s undeniably Stray Kids, this song actually reminds me quite a bit of a song that ATEEZ would put out, especially the ending part with both the instrumental and Chan going ham about how they make bangers (no lies detected there). It reminded me of how ATEEZ is often called the last-30-seconds group, because it always gets nuts right at the end. As a StayTiny, I was so excited to hear a sprinkling of my other favorite group’s trademark characteristics. Anyway, once again, this was so fun to watch and I’m glad we got to enjoy Megaverse with y’all! ✌🏻 & 🩵

2023-11-13 09:35:15 +0000 UTCI've been waiting for this reaction, and i'm so so happy you got to it SO quickly - this might be my fave song on the album, and it's so funny bc your reactions were SO similar to my own. This song is UNHINGED in the best way possible and I can't STOP LISTENING TO ITTTTTT. I'm not a musician so i don't know technical terms or anything like that - but I can talk about how it makes me feel, and boy did it make me feel so many things... to me, this song feels like a slow descent into madness. The way the rythm keeps shifting, you never feel like you have a steady place to rest, everywhere you turn, things are changing - there are moments when the rythm feels irregular even though it's not and it just makes everything feel OFF... and then you get to the FINAL act of the song, where ... well EVERYTHING happens at once. All of it. To me, this is the part where every single one of the stray kids universe's collides. They hit, merge together and you get what feels like a sound from every major era of SKZ - it's... insane. It shouldn't work? but it does? And the concept being at the begininning of the album makes so much sense, bc it's starting the album off with bringing all the previous work they've done into once place. I don't know if this makes sense, if it's just a sensless ramble but UGH i just love it, I wish I knew technical terms to explain myself better!!
