[Tier 2] SKZ - FNF 'Making Film' Reaction
Added 2023-10-31 04:35:59 +0000 UTCHere's our reaction to SKZ's FNF 'Making Film'!
This was a wonderful addition to the music listening experience because it showed us a glimpse of their creative process, as well as their usual fun and happy interaction - all around a great time for us, and for everyone involved :D.
Just to point out one 'wordplay' in the middle:
반지하 - when Changbin points his gummy ring downward, the subtitle says 'semi basement' - which is fine, but the Korean word for ring is '반지', while the word semi basement is '반지하'. As you can see, all you need to do is add an extra '하' to the word '반지 (ring)' to create 반지하, semi-basement, so that's why this pun works! :D
And two things.
1. Obviously Youtiful is not the last song, technically speaking, but you get what we mean. We're still debating on 'The Sound' and the 'Mixtape' from 5-star as we haven't heard the original 'The Sound' Japanese version, and mixtape, well, mixtape. We don't know yet. We're thinking. Let us know if you have a recommendation in how we should tackle these two!
2. As we say in the video, let us know if you want a comprehensive album review (after watching the 5-star related videos SKZ has put out on the channel, which many of you have sent us the links to) - you'll see one for ATEEZ coming out soon, so you'll get an idea of what we mean!
As usual <3 Much love, and enjoy :)

Thanks for the wordplay explanation! Yes! I want a comprehensive album review. I'm sure you guys are the best at this point! Not all artist/producer reactors can do this as well as you guys because they can't break down the lyrics well if they're not native Korean. You guys also analyzed the song arrangement and paid attention to every tiny piece of sound, which I appreciated.

2023-11-30 15:07:54 +0000 UTCThey do have other making films for other mvs if you wanna check those out :)

2023-11-08 20:10:29 +0000 UTCOh! I've never heard of the underground level being called a semi basement! I was picturing semi trucks!! I was so confused. 🤣 thanks!

2023-11-07 12:54:24 +0000 UTCJust cuz it works with the word '반지' (ring) in Korean, and because Changbin flipped it downward to signify that it's now in the basement area - or in this case, semi basement instead of ground floor or up XD

2023-11-07 07:53:01 +0000 UTCI am nothing if not good at random pop culture references 😂

2023-11-07 07:46:36 +0000 UTCYou should definitely check out the Intro videos for 5-star. They talk about the songs and show them in the studio recording a bit.

2023-11-01 23:15:40 +0000 UTCI don't understand what semi basement means.

2023-11-01 03:46:33 +0000 UTCThey do more explanations in the intro videos to the albums. They go through the songs and discuss them.

2023-11-01 03:45:05 +0000 UTCAgree with everyone else. Save The Sound for the Japanese album listen which you definitely have to do because I’m a completist and it will kill me if you skip the Japanese albums/singles. But Time Out is good to do now. You’re Stay now so you should get the birthday present too albeit a little late.

2023-10-31 23:25:05 +0000 UTCI will sign the petition to get together with Stray Kids!! They just seem like the kind of guys I would love to just hang out with and be friends with. Unfortunately, I live on the other side of the world and they're famous and I'm not... lol. But it's a fun dream. Love your reaction as always! :)

2023-10-31 16:57:03 +0000 UTCYES! We'd love to have a comprehensive album review! All you can share with us is a real happiness! Also yes, look at the Intro videos, they're soooo interesting! And the record session one too. Thank you amazing, lovely, handsome Sausages! <3

2023-10-31 16:44:48 +0000 UTCI agree. ♥️ and to add: For The Sound: if you guys are planning to react to the album, I'd wait to react to it when you do the rest of the album. But if not, DEFINITELY react to the Japanese version MV. It's beautiful and amazing and awesome and daebak and ... yeah... you'll see when you watch it. 😁 Mixtape: Time Out is for Stay I think for their 4th birthday. You could watch it at anytime and enjoy it. :)

2023-10-31 13:37:38 +0000 UTCAlways up for any skz content but like someone said they usually explain the meaning of the songs in the intro videos for each album, the video makings are more the visuals and concepts of the mvs. I think you would also like the recording behind, we can see how different 3racha approach their role as directors

2023-10-31 12:44:58 +0000 UTCIntro videos will have explanation of the songs in the album.. including the recording.. I hope you can check the intro videos as well as the recording they did during stayweek. This is the intro part 1 where they discuss the song: https://youtu.be/iNPgj-ZJql8?si=Kd_N9w6CjTMQ7VFb The intro part 2 is about dance, if you're interested with just the song making you may skip it. This is the intro part 3 which is the recording of S-class: https://youtu.be/8_Nt-jnXGfQ?si=AkBXHqc3vOu-poMV And this is another recording for the other songs in the album thta they posted during Stayweek: https://youtu.be/9odkgNeDJm4?si=8Ey3TC3wCWMsyQR4 You my skip The Sound as it's in a different album which was Japanese release (Japanese versions of songs always sound better for me). I suggest you check the Mixtape as it's solo and not included in ny album. Thanks always for the reactions ❤️

2023-10-31 10:35:38 +0000 UTCI don't know why, but hearing Hyunjin say hoju in a silly voice in this video suddenly made me remember the Simpsons bit where Homer asks Bart if he wants to be called Homer Junior now, then follows it up with, "the kids could call you HoJu," which is not quite a pun but did make me laugh. Also: with Changbin saying the gummy ring is a couples' ring with Hyunjin and making his joke, this is part of a running bit - which at this point is less a bit than a habit - of once a day trying to shoot his shot with Hyunjin, which thus far has led to, by my count, three (3) on-camera marriage proposals. The added joke in this instance, though, is that Hyunjin actually does have and wear a couples' ring, but with Felix, which they've talked about in various segments on multiple different occasions.

2023-10-31 08:59:23 +0000 UTCThe 5-star intro will definitely help you guys understand the songs better. They talk about the songs in the album. It's worth watching.

2023-10-31 06:33:42 +0000 UTCI would listen to Japanese the sound and Time out from the album with MV. Both are amazing songs! Youtiful was written for Stay so its another Stay song <3

2023-10-31 06:20:08 +0000 UTCThe Sound Japanese version hits different than the Korean version and the mv is awesome!! Mixtape Time Out is a special release from last year for stays anniversary so it’s not on another album. Definitely listen to it now with the mv! You should add the 5 star intro as well along with the stay week recording 5 star video https://youtu.be/9odkgNeDJm4?si=1ESaG-GWx5hneu1W The making mvs - they don’t always have a lot of insight to the song but they are always fun to watch!
Nova
2023-10-31 05:53:19 +0000 UTCI personally prefer the Japanese/Original The Sound better. You have to react to the MV first. Then decide if you wanna compare it with the korean version. Other making MV films are fun. Topline is a good one with bts interaction of members with tiger jk

2023-10-31 05:19:29 +0000 UTCI would love for you to watch the 5 Star Intro and then give a detailed analysis. I absolutely adore your breakdowns in regards to lyrics and double meanings to the music itself. Watching you appreciate and find enjoyment in the music is so pleasant to watch. It has given me a deep impression and I find I have more of an interest in the music itself. Hearing you talk about different instrumentals and noticing they used a certain drum on the track. It's just so enjoyable to watch. I truly look forward to all your videos. They are a nice break while the world goes to hell in a handbasket. Sometimes it's the littlest of things that keep you going. I would also suggest you check out all of the prior albums intro videos because its even more ridiculous how they come up with certain concepts. Thanks again Have a good one!

2023-10-31 05:13:23 +0000 UTCI personally recommend definitely waiting and doing the Japanese version of The Sound first. It was released first and quite honestly it just doesn’t hit the same in the Korean version (I’m sorry 😅) plus there’s a music video for it. And I agree with another comment that I think it would be alright to go for Time Out as this is the first time it’s had a “home” on an album so you might as well react to it now rather than have it floating in the abyss as a random single lol it’ll be a great mood changer as a Sausage after crying through Youtiful anyway 😂

2023-10-31 05:07:32 +0000 UTCI think in terms of the album wait to listen to The Sound until you’ve actually listened to the original Japanese version as for Mixtape it’s not on any other albums and was released prior to 5 star as a special gift to stay so I say listen to Mixtape Time Out because unless you were to listen to all the random songs they’ve dropped in live performances, skz-players, skz-records, 3racha’s releases, OSTs, etc this is the only place you’d come across it. I definitely say check out the MV for Time Out it’s super cute and silly and the end has little bloopers.

2023-10-31 05:05:21 +0000 UTCDefinitely check out the 5 star intro.. they go in depth of how the songs come about.. i believe they do these ro each of their albums.. there’s also a lot more behind the scenes to the 5 star albums besides the making of music videos.. you will see their recording sessions of the songs and also the dance practice to s class
Panda2105
2023-10-31 04:57:31 +0000 UTCThey don’t really do too many explanations for their b-side music videos, but the title track behind videos sometimes do. I’d say not to do the sound yet and wait until you reach the full japanese album which was released earlier this year and after maxident and skz-replay. As for the mixtape, it was released a year prior to 5-star as a single for stays birthday so I’d say to just react to it at the end. It might feel a bit disconnected in terms of the theme of the album, but after clé: yellow wood the mixtapes are no longer cd only so it’d make sense to react to it now instead of waiting for release order
