2023-11-05 16:13:42 +0000 UTCI’m glad! I noticed that even the nonstop rap trade off between Han, Hyunjin, and Changbin in the middle of the song doesn’t even really change flows, so again, for them, kinda…lazy. “We’re already far away.” They know it’s over. Man, what a helluva song!

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and feelings. I like when Han-c describes images he had when you listened to a song and the musical references that D'some gives us. Han also wrote Get Lit, which to me was even more surprising, considering that his songs usually have that mellow R&B vibe, like 19. He said that in the past months he has been experimenting with new genres and I love how versatile he's being. Unfortunately for both Get Lit and Collision I think there is no performance video, no variety show performance, nothing :( Also, you said you're rushing through the album (and I can't wait to see your real time reaction of Rock Star in 2 weeks!), but in case you finish reacting to the 5 Star songs before then, it would be awesome if you could also react to the Stray Kids remix of All my Life by Lil Durk (I mentioned a comment under another video, but I'm writing it again just in case it got lost in the comment section > < )

2023-10-27 12:48:47 +0000 UTCWhen i commented on “Item,” I said I thought it should’ve been the title track, but it was my still my #2 favorite song on the album, and you asked me what was my #1, and I said “Collision,” but for totally different reasons. I SO enjoyed you guys breaking down why this song has this seeming discrepancy with the sexy feel and the emotionally devastating lyrics- it’s so tough to pin down but you helped me out so thanks! Also, it’s cool that you pointed out how certain lyrics were sung, because apparently Han was VERY picky about how things should be sung, and I’m glad he was, because the results are SAUR good. A couple other things- I kinda love how almost…lazy it sounds? Like they’re trying to get their partner to forgive them, but the deliver sounds like they already know it’s a lost cause. And Bang Chan sounds like a brat during his rap part, which to me is 1) funny and 2) reinforces the idea that it’s kind of just for show. They’re two heavenly bodies that collided and left each other lesser than they were, and they know it, and….jeez Han, who hurt you bb????? The other thing I wanna just quickly mention is that phone ringing at the end that gets hung up. We know how the story ends. Like…this is the sexiest emotionally devastating song I’ve ever heard. Thank you guys so much for you insight! It was so cool to hear you analyze and enjoy my favorite song off 5-Star. Y’all rock. And as usual, thanks for reading my excessive verbiage! ✌🏻 & 🩵

Definitely agree LOVE Changbin singing LOVE IT. I really love when they all sing - especially when people are used to hearing Bin and Han rap all the time. I can also proudly say I can listen to Han sing all day long.

2023-10-27 03:10:49 +0000 UTCI love this track! The comparison with Chill is apt, in that they're both sad breakup songs inspired by Han watching anime and dramas. And hard agree about Changbin's singing voice - I can't remember if you've encountered this fact or not yet, but he originally auditioned at JYP as a singer, only starting to experiment with rap when his vocal coach told him that his breathing and delivery were like a rapper's and that he might be suited to it. 2023-10-27 01:04:13 +0000 UTCYAY my fav song on the album is next 🤍 FNF is great bc of the background story behind it. mild spoiler for lyrics btw! so for some context: chanlix wrote this song after the australian fires in 2019-2020 (https://www.instagram.com/p/B7Hyk-Vl-bY/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) and they dedicated this song to the Flora & Fauna of their hometown :,) chan also mentioned the ‘im catching up’ part of the song is referring to how at the end of the day, all living things meet its end (including us) 🫠 it’s a heartbreaking song and i was lucky enough to be in melbourne when they shot the music video… defo one of my top faves 🤍🤍🤍
