SKZ is a group that is incredibly good at translating their songs from language to language. Once, I put on the Korean ver of Domino and sang the English lyrics over top and its actually perfect. Like, the syllables line up all the way down. Its insane.

I love the fact that this music video is, to be honest, both artistic genius, but also just a whatsapp mom sending good morning messages while on a mild acid trip. There are so many beautiful things about this, but i just want yall to know that Gordon Ramsey and Hells Kitchen retweeted and quoted this song and MV because of the lyrics but also because of the iconic Idiot Sandwich Reference! I cant believe how weird this was as an MV, you can definitely see how it links into the chaos of the Domino Unveil MV! There have actually been several all english versions of their songs like Domino and Levanter, off the top of my head, but this was, i think, the first one that released originally in English. If you have a chance, I definitely recommend reacting to their english versions because theyre genuinely so incredible!

2023-09-16 23:07:14 +0000 UTCThe way this music video is simultaneously super well done and also looks like it was made by a bunch of high school dropouts on a 1990s mac in some parents' basement... it is so bizarre I honestly don't know how to feel. Like the choreo is really good, the song is great (though I prefer the english version), but this is so wierd! I'm sure there are all kinds of references and reasons it was done this way that completely go over my head, I just don't get it.

2023-09-16 21:22:58 +0000 UTCYeah, there are 7 English tracks (slump, top, levanter, domino, double knot, super bowl, and youtiful) and 2 solo English tracks (connected and deep end). But the only two originally released as English are Super Bowl and Youtiful. The rest were subsequent versions. I just keep hearing Lee Know's little whiney voice in the studio "There's too much English! Why is there so much English!" π€£

2023-09-15 21:32:53 +0000 UTCTo add to Kiki Meowzilla'a comment and to link your comment about having heard 4 title tracks so far, this is just your reminder that this was supposed to be title track instead of God's Menu - you can see some of the matching choreography in this video as well. It kind of makes you wonder though, would they have had the same trajectory if they released this one first? God's Menu was pretty much their breakout track (especially with Felix and his "cookin' like a chef" lines) so would Super Bowl have been as effective? Things like this are why I never want to have a job making important decisions - I'm gonna end up screwing up someone's story and become the center of their villain arc.

They actually ended up collabing with Tiger JK because theyβd done a sort of slam poetry/rap stage together at MAMA last year and 3racha approached him with a track afterwards. Han in particular has a really cute relationship with him now where Tiger JK even said happy birthday to Han on his ig stories π

But they do have other songs that they re-released with English versions - Double Knot, Levanter, TOP.
