We are kicking off this brand new album with one of our favourite songs from Ateez, WONDERLAND. Now, obviously we've reacted to this song before, so we decided to react to the first track, end of the beginning, as well as the 'live' version of Wonderland from Studio Choom. A perfect way to start things off, and we are ready for the upcoming songs!!

He didn't go until after Inception/Thanks era. He got a back injury during this time and had to heal. This injury is one of the reasons he went on hiatus though.

2023-08-26 00:10:17 +0000 UTCYou’ve entered the Mingi hiatus era. 🥺Mingi went on hiatus for mental health/anxiety during this comeback. That’s why he’s absent for Kingdom and the MVs. I love that they didn’t let him be forgotten though and was still represented (ex. Yunho using both feet for 8 makes 1 team you can see on Kingdom). Ugh, Wonderland is one of those performances that gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. It’s one of my favorites!

2023-08-25 23:02:40 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned on Discord, Wonderland is the song that made me their fan. I heard it and was like: "Okay, I'm their fan now." I'm glad they have an anthem song like this. I'm sure others have mentioned this, but Mingi was on an 8 month hiatus during this time

2023-08-25 01:41:57 +0000 UTCWonderland was my intro to ATEEZ. It had been out for a while before I saw it, but I was doing that thing where you just see what's new, and there it was. First listen I wasn't sure it was for me. But as with so many songs, I walk away from the first listen and watch and then I've got some part of the song stuck in my head and then I'm sunk. I've been ATINY since, ingesting content like a happy glutton. They're absolutely incredible. I don't think Wonderland is my "hear it for the first time," I think that's Halazia for me, but Wonderland's Kingdom version was so unexpected and so intense that it just changed the game entirely. That it's now the concert standard (Kingdom version) makes me very proud and very happy for them. They created a new version of an absolutely iconic song and managed to maintain and even enhance its iconic nature. Like, how epic do you have to be to do that? Because as much as I loved all the Kingdom performances, there are less than a handful that truly changed the game. Luckily in the Studio Choom they weren't having to sing, too, but in their live stages they absolutely did, and it's remarkable. But knowing that they had Hala Hala in their performance history, it isn't crazy that they could make it through Wonderland live. You might want to do a marathon around Halloween, because they did do a Halloween version of Wonderland (also zombie Pirate King, the Black Cat Nero (after performing it on Immortal Songs, they did a standalone video of it), and later Deja Vu in vampire version).

They were relatively unknown at that point and I think between the song itself, Kingdom and the MAMA performance, it made people pay attention. I still think they deserve sooo much more recognition and appreciation than they get, just my opinion. 😉 Mingi was on hiatus from this in 2019 for an injury to his joints. He missed a few group activities during that time. He did however go on a mental health hiatus from Nov 2020 to July 2021. When you do the Fever Series, he is missing from the Fireworks MV (but they still kept him a part of it). That is also why he was missing from Kingdom as well. We were all VERY happy when he returned. ❤️

But don’t quote me on that. what blows my fucking mind is they dance like this whilst singing.. without missing a beat and their vocals are stable. And that’s on core strength. Oh and there are PLENTY of songs they have that go hard that yall have yet to hear.. 🥰
