This is a trick. A TRICKY's surprise, if you will (yes we've been...yeh. Xikers. Okay.)
It's actually less of a poll and more of a question, and a question that belongs to some time far in the future.
But it's always great to have some sense of things even if it won't be for later times, so here we go!
We know for now, we have PLENTY to catch up to - Kingdom, SKZ Code, and other shows and groups to react to, including shorter clips like AOTM, Lee Mujin, and much more, so do note that we are FULLY AWARE of our situation and are taking things one at a time, starting with the recent upload of Kingdom :)
Having said that, we were curious as to what your thoughts are on us reacting to Korean (or Asian) series and movies, as we've seen many reactors do both Kpop and Kdrama or films.
We only ask because, first, we regularly watch series and films, second, because we are Koreans and can offer Korean cultural and linguistic nuances and background information on various series and films, and lastly, because D'Some actually has background in filmmaking and film critique, and actually works as one full time at the moment.
D'some originally was planning on running his separate film reaction channel on the side and not have it related to HS at all, but we thought it may be fun to just combine it with Handsome Sausages down the road if it may be something y'all are interested in. So again, while this will NOT be happening for quite some time - we have more than enough to catch up with XD - we did want to get your perspective on this as we always found it weird that Kpop reactors also react to anime, series, films and whatnot and finding audiences for all...to us, it seemed counterintuitive and unrelated, but apparently many people find intersection between Kpop and Kfilm lovers so...yeh!
Let us know your thoughts, perhaps not just for us but this overlap in general, and even what other interests you have that may not have been expected!

Yes!! Would love to see you react to Korean Dramas. One request though would if you can have the English subtitles on for them since I don't understand Korean (I'm learning lol)

2023-07-14 17:42:08 +0000 UTCTotally know what you mean though ;) feels like a lot of people feel the same way with shows as you do with music - satisfying to watch people love what you love - but also, depending on the material, there are lots of things to dissect and talk about and bring light into things, including but not limited to filmmaking techniques themselves. We shall see, though livestream show reaction is something we've never really seen and could be a very cool idea as well!!

Regarding English subtitles, yes, that would be awesome. You may want to play around with the screen sizing/ratio (you two vs the show window)or font sizing so that it is easily readable. When watching the first Kingdom episode, it was hard to see the Korean captions on my phone. Thanks guys!

Also since I’m still trying very hard to learn Korean this would be fun too. I like learning things - mostly random things that I will never use again in life but will have the answer if you need it. I usually pick the “historical” drama’s first, even though I know they may not really represent the suggested era’s properly and costumes are actually re-used.

2023-07-12 02:22:23 +0000 UTCI had to think about this, because although I watch lots of Asian dramas (mostly Korean, Chinese, and Japanese), I have only once watched reaction videos to a show, and that’s because the reactor had access to episodes not released yet on my streaming service. In thinking about it, I think it’s because, with song reactions, it’s satisfying just to watch people love what you love, and to remember what it was like to experience those songs the first time. But with a show, I don’t think that’s enough for me; it’s not a replacement for having your friends come over and watch the show with you. Like, I’m the idiot who posts lyrics analysis on your YouTube song posts. So if there’s a whole show episode, imma wanna talk about it. So for me (and I imagine I’m an outlier) shows would be a cool use of the livestream format.

I suggested to friends and family that they should watch it too, and they all loved it. I guess you'll have seen it, but if not, you definitely should.

It’s not what brought me here, like some others have said, but I absolutely would still watch it if y’all did it (and might I put in a request for Hotel del Luna I’d you do? LOL) absolutely don’t feel the need to rush though! Y’all have a lot on your plates already, and being overworked and burnt out is NOT fun

Possibly spoiler, but one of the groups (won't say which) had a moment talking with the main lead from that show and the lead was flustered because he couldn't just say - oh good luck to just your group, because other groups were also in it heh.

I always appreciate when you guys give insight into the cultural aspect on things that I may not know, plus I think your reactions would just be fun. I don’t have anyone else around me who appreciates and/or listens to what I do so I love that I kinda of have this outlet through you guys. So point being, yes. You react, I will watch.

If I am honest it’s weird that I’m watching you at all, I don’t like reaction videos or commentary but you always bring me more knowledge and such a good time that I will happily sit down to watch a drama or movie with you just to see if I have as much fun and gain as much insight.

So I am always looking for reactors who can add context to the shows that I already love. I came to this patreon for the SKZ/Kingdom content but I will totally stay knowing that this could happen down the road.

Many times people watch teh dramas and the OST gets them into the music or vice versa. My sister never gave kpop a chance and i got her to watch one kdrama she loved it and then was open to listening to kpop which now she is my concert buddy!

What I like about you guys is, that you analyze songs really well and really pay attention to the music giving some really good commentary about the songs. So basically what Tealeafer said. So to have you guys react to K-Dramas and K-Films would be awesome. Especially if you'll be doing it in a similar manner to the way you guys do the music. One of the reasons you two are some of my favorite reactors is that while you’re funny and chill, you really do bring insightful commentary to the table and I appreciate it. The only thing I’d say is that I’d really appreciate English subtitles for whatever we watch. In regards to mixing music and film and whatnot, I’m starting to think of y’all like Stray Kids- y’all just do everything at this point and do it well so why the heck not, as long as you’re having fun?

Don't feel rushed though for sure you guys definitely have a lot on your plate but it would be nice to have like a little kdrama reactions.
