[Tier 3] SKZ - Insomnia (Street Ver.)

Lots of overlap with Question in terms of musical clash and dynamic, which we love, as it defines the thematic nature of the album - and oh boy, are we loving the street version from SKZ!!
Many of you mentioned the JYP company, airplane video - we shall check that out as well, whatever that exactly may be - but for now, we got MIA next, and WE ARE DYING TO CHECK IT OUT.

The video was shot in NYC when the SKZ did their first KCON (2018 I think). I can only seem to find the videos of them in NY on STRAY K SUBS channel…. I very well may be overlooking them on Stray Kids Channel.

But since it looks to be warmer weather, no big Christmas tree over the gold statue that makes it really distinguishable. It’s a few blocks from where I work and an truly saddened I wasn’t a STAY yet when they filmed it. Can’t wait until you get to the Clé series!

I mean, they're both awesome, but Question probably has more replays in my history than insomnia does primarily because it goes just a little "harder". That being said, I love Street Version videos and when it comes to SKZ, N/S (극과 극) is probably my favorite - but you won't get to that one until the next album. (ゝ‿•)

While street versions are really fun it's nos easy to keep up to the lines as you guys said, for this one I highly recommend to listen to the OT8 lyrics videos since everyone singing voice is just lovely ❣️ Not sure about this, but I think Chan wrote this song because he usually can't sleep, I might be wrong though 😅 And I prefer Insomnia, I like both but this one has just a very nice vibe I can't explain. Anyways, looking forward to M.I.A!!

2023-07-07 06:19:21 +0000 UTCYeah as cute and fun as the street versions are, they always confuse new stray kids listeners with who is singing which line. Hyunjin and changbin were the first two singers in the first verse. Should checkout the ot8 lyric video! You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Changbin in fact did not rap in this song as he SANG the 2 verse (his singing voice is significantly different than his rapping voice so it's understandable). In my opinion this is one of their most experimental albums (besides NOEASY and Go Live). Can't wait for the rest of the album reaction!
