Early Access: ATEEZ - HALAZIA

Comments

This was the first video uploaded after I joined the Sausage community, and can finally say I'm starting my journey with Ateez as I'm watching all of the old content I've missed😅

HALAZIA is one of my all time favorites from ATEEZ and it has helped to get them so much more attention (along with GUERILLA). Their progressions and changeups in this one hooked me the very first time I saw it and I still get the goose pimples when I listen to it. But, since you've seen HALA HALA (definitely waiting for that upload!), I'm sure you now recognize the "scarecrow" from HALAZIA. You will see them again and again throughout their videos as they are the catalyst for the whole lore.

Yep, I'm Liberty

I was surprised but thx for the shoutout 🥰 I’m glad I can support you a little bit. Love your content so much. (Btw I like your BVB Dortmund jacket 😂)

Nicole CH

haha I hope it gets picked in the future then so I can hear the attempt ;). And even though it wasn't for any reasons, I do really appreciate you guys taking the precaution. Makes you seem more professional (I was going to say serious.. but somehow that doesn't quite sound right haha) which just makes me happier to support you guys!

SaarCookie

Woohoo! Shoutout for life. We actually do see the connection there - SKZ and Ateez songs also have a weirdly similar vibe to them, despite the different process and all. Real life connections do affect everything I guess!

Handsome Sausages

Yes...we see...we see it clearly...:')

Handsome Sausages

Yessss what a voice he has!! Also, noticed the change! Thanks for the reminder!

Handsome Sausages

We thought about it a lot haha we said the same thing too - what if we hit the high point and always crave Halazia? But we're sure we'll appreciate every other song from them !

Handsome Sausages

Yeosang Yeosang Yeosang.....incredible. What a tone he has!! And we second Hongjoong's rap - it's on another level. We'll look into that video!!!

Handsome Sausages

Haaa good to hear!! D'some beeped it JUST in case - very sensitive about such a thing so was like 'but what if they don't want their real name shown and that's why they changed it :'( ?' For the record, the whole point is that we'll openly completely mess up the pronunciation of most names so we'll probably end up butchering the new name as well :)..........

Handsome Sausages

Woohoo! So happy to hear you enjoy our content regardless of the artists :) That's our ultimate goal, to not only react to artists that you love already, but to introduce new ones through our reaction! Hala Hala let's get ittt

Handsome Sausages

Ahhh. Okay okay. :)

Briana

I mean, I'd believe that as it seems like a trend that many musicians and artists get a big hit from works that they thought was mediocre or didn't put in a lot of effort, etc. Compel is a good description indeed haha

Handsome Sausages

We recently did Hala Hala performance ver. MV!! No spoilers from us though, not yet! :p Processed, I meant it sounded like it's been EQ'd heavier than other tracks to sound slightly different than other vocals!

Handsome Sausages

Han-C thank you for shouting my name out so s3xy bro 😊... I feel so honored (Emily Cortes). SKZ and ATEEZ are literally besties in real life. There's a running joke that STAY and Atiny are married ❤. Changbin and Wooyoung were besties since predebut or even childhood, I believe, and the rest became besties on "Kingdom: Legendary War". San & Seonghwa want to adopt Felix, Yunho plays video games with SKZ members and Hongjoong and Bang Chan relate with eachother on Leader/Dad issues with their problem children lol (please correct me if I'm wrong in the comments lovely Staytinys 😘). I feel like both bands are kinda like fraternal (not identical) twins because they are so different but so equally incredible. They are my top 2 favorite groups and that's why I'm a Staytiny (Stay + Atiny). ATEEZ are absolutely incredible and deserve more recognition for real! StrayKids will always be my #1 bcuz I have a personal bond with them but ATEEZ absolutely deserve to be neck-in-neck in popularity to be honest. They both are so freaking fantastic, brilliant and unique!

From the live performances I’ve watch of theirs it’s that deep. But homie has range. Just like Yunho. He too can get that low and as high as Jongho. :)

Briana

Now you see why we wanted Halazia! I really appreciated your breakdown, as it again explains why I love it. it's so complex, and so overall gorgeous!

Sam w

it's so deep, I'm not familiar enough with them to know if his voice is just that deep or if they did some processing to enhance that. I think...

Sam w

SO happy you reacted to this. I’m mostly a Stay but I have MAD respect and love for Ateez- they bring it every single time, and to me Halazia is almost perfect, even if I can’t explain why. Also, I saw a couple people mention this but I think one of the most powerful parts in the song is Yeosang’s deep-voiced prechorus (I…get confused by the structure) when he’s talking about the bluebird who lost its voice. Gives me chills. Great reaction, as always! P.s. I changed my Patreon name from “Gabrielle Kim” to “Tealeafer” so if you do read out my name you won’t have to read out my actual name ^_^

Tealeafer

I’m so happy you skipped ahead to their newest song, Halazia! However, you’ll never recover. It’s my go-to song to get pumped for the day. Yeosang’s voice and live dance part for that has become quite noticed. The maknae, Junho, is that high voice which ATEEZ calls him their Ace, if I’m not mistaken. His range and vocal power is crazy! Can’t wait for you to go through their discography. (Also the pirate skeleton in the beginning is a carryover from past MV themes from what I understand.)

I absolutely love Halazia, the different music styles they add into it, the variety of the vocals. I especially love Yeosang's part because it really embraces his tone, he often needs to sing higher than is comfortable for him, but this song really embraces the deeper sound and makes for a killing point (in my opinion) in the song as it breaks up the high more ethereal sounding vocals. As well as Hongjoongs rap. I saw a video a while ago (it's a short from CarKpop on youtube, I highly recommend you look it up) explaining why his rap sounds so addictive, I don't have all the knowledge but something about him rapping off beat etc. I listen to this song on repeat (literally). Besides that the music video is so stunning as well, when I first watched it, it gave me chills because of the post-apocalyptic vibe, trying to push through the resistance of the system (honestly the part where San's is trying to pull that ball down, some of the best acting I've seen from him). As for Hala Hala, It's another really great song, it's very different but at the same time very similar to Halazia. For me personally it's less addictive to listen to, but its up there. I especially find Hala Hala really impressive as they released it very early on after their Debut.

SaarCookie

Ok I havent even started watching the reaction yet, but you guys made me laugh so hard for beeping out my name haha. I changed it to save you from trying to pronounce my name and since I like my nickname better, but this was hilarious haha. Thanks ❤️ Can't wait to watch the rest of this video now as I LOVE Halazia.

SaarCookie

The fact that I got a shoutout on this one when it’s one of my favorite songs lately 😭❤️! I love seeing you guys reacting and sharing your perspectives on all these songs even for artists I’m not particularly interested in, just the vibe you give off is so nice to watch and comfortable. HALA HALA is a song that got ATEEZ a lot of recognition when it came out, especially with the incredibly energetic yet clean choreo in the performance video. It’s a very different feel from the songs you’ve reacted to from them so far, but I think it’s one of their most significant releases in terms of establishing their identity and I’m hype to see you guys enjoy it for the first time!

EmJay32

I think I saw somewhere that Hongjoong was surprised by how well-received Halazia was, as he hadn't been thinking of it as a hit, just a sort of bonus song to release between albums, but don't quote me on that as I can't find the source for it. I'm still learning my way with Ateez, but I really like this one; it's very [Benoit Blanc voice] makes no damn sense; compels me, though!

sysrae

The reactions to this was worth the wait. 😂 Which version of HALA HALA though? HALAZIA goes harder. HALA HALA is still hard. The Jongho vocals in HALA HALA on the chorus give me goosebumps even after hearing it many times. Also when you asked if his voice was processed during Yeosang’s part (pretty man dragging the chain with the deep voice) what did you mean exactly? 😅
