Progress Report + Bonus Render

I ended up getting sick the other day, and I'm still feeling the effects.
I had just finished posting the Render for 2k followers on DeviantArt and went to make my dinner when I had a vertigo attack due to my Ménière's Disease. I have not had one that bad in a while. I spent the night hugging a bucket, and for a good part of the 48 hours that followed, I was out of commission.

I'm feeling better, fingers crossed that it does not get bad again, (I'm not even sure what set it off, it came on suddenly.)

As for some good news, I worked today on converting some older Poser assets to use in Daz Studio and Iray. One of the things that was frustrating me with trying to advance the comic is that I could not find props that fit the scale that I needed. Everything was big and industrial, & just not something that one individual could carry.

At first, I tried rewriting the story to fit the assets I did have, but I was not happy with things, and that kind of led to me just going on hiatus to think about how I wanted to handle things. Ultimately, earlier in the week I found some older Poser assets that I realized might work if I could update their surfaces to iray.

I had to play with things a bit and ended up removing some parts that were lower poly and looked off and added replacement with bits from newer products, and a few I made myself simple shapes and primitive objects.

I think I've come up with something that will work though, I'm mostly happy with the results, but I might tweak a few more things before I use it in a scene.

The base of the prop is from Milk Maids 1 by Davo. It was made for Poser originally and has never gotten an official port to Daz and Iray like some of his later products

The glass canister was from a newer product (Milk Maids 3, by Davo). Though it did get a Daz/iray release, it was originally metal and did not have liquid in it, so I had to add that myself with some primitive shapes.

I'm sure most of you will be excited to see this prop put to actual use, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy the preview image with Michelle included in this post.
