Linear Equations

This Algebra video tutorial provides a basic introduction into linear equations.  It discusses the three forms of a linear equation - the point slope form, the slope intercept form, and the standard form of the equation.  This video explains how to calculate the slope of a line that passes through two points and how to graph a linear equation in all 3 forms.  This video also discusses parallel and perpendicular lines.  It contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

At mark 46:49, why -3/-6 is equal to -1/2. Shouldn't it be + 1/2 ? When we divide like signs, it should give us positive value.

Ok, please ignore my question.. As you corrected it at mark 39:50...

At mark 38:52: From y = -1/2x + 2, why did you remove the negative sign on the slope (m), that is 1/2 and made it y = 1/2x + 2?
