Plus if he's as mid-tier as he seems due to not actually being able to hurt TiNi, he's probably a good choice for helping newbies acclimate.

What I meant was "Of course out of all the gladiators, his first opponent would have to be this same guy" as in like, the guy talks about fighting a bunch of different opponents. There must be a bunch of different opponents to pull one from. But of course it had to be this guy that Tini has to fight for his debut. It's actually a bit odd, thinking about it. Imagine in like a wrestling or MMA match they announce a brand new fighter and then proceed to pit him against a guy who has dozens of matches to his name and recently was like 2rd runner up for being top of the league or something.

Wrig was talking about his number of wins back at the start of this comic, and it stands to reason he wouldn't be talking about just random fights picked with just anyone out on the streets - that's the kind of thing that gets you arrested. Therefore he had to have been an arena gladiator himself. Plus who else would so quickly tell a random stranger "come join the arena and fuck your opponents" besides a gladiator who already does so for a living?
