It's been a busy few months, and I've got some goodies to share :)

Writers block has been a major issue lately. I want Cum Zone IV to be as good as it possibly can be, and it's difficult to write new sections to a quality I'm happy with when I don't have the sound design experience I need. To rectify this, I've decided that I should make a few songs on the side simply to practice new techniques. This track is one of those :) I plan to do a lot more soon, hopefully a few of them will get finished!

The Great Dead Distance (MIDI Concept)
One consequence of my writers block, being due to my lack of sound design experience, is that I can actually write very comfortably when no sound design is required. This track was written in KBPiano, an ancient buggy software that relies on old 16-bit MIDI SoundFont files. It's not good by any means, but it's simplicity allows me the freedom to compose some of my best work. This particular track is related to deep Phalia lore, and contains references to specific albums and OST's with similar themes to her backstory. The ultimate goal with MIDI tracks such as these would be to re-record everything with real instruments in the future (guitars, drums, bass, etc.) though I would need to collab with some exceptionally skilled musicians in order to do it justice.

So much has happened since we arrived in New Zealand (both good and bad) that'll require it's own update in the near future. For now, enjoy the music! Expect to see an art post within the next two weeks ;)
