Spitfyre Tavern (38x42)

As mentioned, this next map is of a two story tavern, plus a few buildings found in its vicinity.

Upon entry, the tavern features the bar and a couple gambling tables. Venturing further, one is greeted by the lively bustle of the first floor, where the heart of the establishment beats with the rhythm of revelry. Here, amidst the flickering glow of a central fire pit, patrons partake in food and drink. A stage stands proud, a platform for performers to captivate audiences with their talents, accompanied by the harmonious strains of live music. And tucked away discreetly, a private dining chamber awaits, where heroes might indulge in a banquet fit for legends. Also found on the first floor are rooms for cooking, storing food, and restrooms.

Ascend the staircases on either end of the communal space to access the sleeping quarters. The quarters offer a selection of rooms ranging from opulent chambers to snug sanctuaries, ensuring a restful night's slumber amid the echoes of revelry wafting from below. Perhaps some of the redlight rooms could provide alternative services, but otherwise these rooms could provide a quick night's sleep with fewer flourishes than some of the other options. This half of the second floor also has access to a balcony that oversees the entrance, with a bridge providing alternate entry to the stables.

Meanwhile, a stairway near the bar leads up to a set of double doors with guards standing sentry before the Dragon Lounge. Named for the fearsome red dragon that looms overhead, this opulent retreat boasts a circular fire pit, said to be kindled by the very breath of the dragon that adorns its walls. It is this firepit that provides the namesake of the tavern: the Spitfyre Tavern. Only those with high status or heavy pockets are granted entry here. A pair of locked doors on the northern wall open to a short walkway leading to the attic of the meat smoker stationed behind the tavern. Beside the lounge, there is a room is dedicated to housing fine wines and glassware while the room across serves as storage for spare amenities and furniture.

The neighboring buildings include a small storeroom adjacent to the stables. Conveniently across the street, there is a brewery dedicated to the thirsty tavern; a large copper boiler provides hot water for three vats of grains, which steep into wort prior to fermentation. The final brew is stored in large barrels in an attached warehouse, where some casks are aged while others will be transported to the tavern as needed. Perhaps the aromas of caramelized sugars have garnered the unwanted attention of pests, such as a hive of wasps hiding among the rafters. The brewmaster is keen to eliminate the problem, as it makes working conditions difficult.

Behind the tavern, amidst tendrils of savory smoke, a meat smoker toils tirelessly, infusing succulent delights with the essence of flame and wood. Yet, in recent days, a curious shift has occurred, as the ovens lie dormant, their flames diverted to a new purpose—incubating eggs of unknown origin. A metal door on the first floor is securely locked to prevent unwanted trespassers, while ruffians stand guard in the attic to help protect the eggs.

Within the confines of the Dragon Lounge, whispers of a black market trade emerge—a clandestine endeavor to procure these enigmatic eggs, their allure irresistible to those who seek power and prestige. Will the players stumble upon this illicit exchange, or will they become entangled in its web, drawn by the promise of possessing secrets as tantalizing as the eggs themselves?
