Moesha Meets a Gay Guy, Or Maybe She Doesn’t?

“Labels” (October 1, 1996)

It’s the tale of two sitcom episodes. Depending on who you are, this is either an episode about Moesha meeting a gay teen who’s scared to come out, or it’s an episode about the dangers of gossip. Maybe it’s both. We are joined once again by Dr. Alfred L. Martin Jr. to discuss the importance of Moesha, why this episode of TV is utterly unique and who the cutest boy at Crenshaw High School is. (Spoiler: It’s Omar.)

That’s as good an explanation as any. But you’d think someone — who worked for Brandy, who worked on the movie — would have pointed out the error

The Brandy in "Arachnophobia" mystery is fun. The best solution I could find, from a couple random posts on the internet, is that the film's credits mention a "Brandy Beechwood" that is likely the Beechwood family dog, played by a dog named Brandy. It makes sense that scrappy, early IMDB would somehow link this up to Brandy Norwood due to her use of a mononym as her professional name.
