No episode this week but....

Hey, all. As a part of a scheduling snafu, we will be dark this week. Apologies! Since we are not giving you lovely patrons an episode, we decided we’d offer up what’s in the hopper and see which episodes you're most interested in hearing us talk about. And if you're wanting an episode that's not on our list, let us know in the comments.

Shall check it out

Drew Mackie

Vicar of Dibley (BBC) season 2 episode 2: Dibley LIve - one of the main ensemble comes out https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0823132/

Perry Krumpolz

We shall add it to the list!

Drew Mackie

The Nanny, Season 4 "Danny's Dead and Who Has the Will" - Fran meets a gay man at a funeral whose loss of his partner and lack of legal recognition lead Fran to question her own lack of relationship definition with Mr. Sheffield. Gay character is relatively minor, but it does showcase a real loving gay relationship facing the consequences of no legal recognition.

The Love Boat, Season 5, "Gopher's Roommate," starring Mackenzie Phillips as a trans woman. I only vaguely remember this episode, but generally credit Love Boat for introducing me to the culture as a babygay.

Philip Rivera

I voted for my favorites, but let’s be real, I’d listen to any of them.

Jennifer Roshek

I've loved your Simpons episodes so far, so I'm voting for that. But looking forward to whatever; I hope everything is ok with you guys.

The simple answer is all of them, but I voted for the Golden Girls, because it’s one of my favorite shows and this was a particularly funny episode.I also voted for I would love to hear the Rosan, because while Roseanne Barr is a horrible person, the show was really wonderful and funny and groundbreaking in many ways and I’d love to hear your take on this episode, as well as the other Roseanne episodes, Leon’s wedding. I know you’ve discussed the Ab Fab Gay episode I’d love to hear your take on that, also might you consider doing the episode Small Opening, where Saffy has written a play about her life and a drag queen plays Patsy. While it’s not overtly gay there is queer subtext and a funny episode in my opinion. Take a well deserved break, but let me say THANK YOU for this great podcast!

Jeffrey K Howard

I suggested this a while ago via twitter, but Becker’s S02E07, “He Said, She Said” would be a really great episode to cover regarding a trans person on a sitcom. There’s definitely some cringey language and phrases used but I feel like it’s a really important piece of sitcom history. It was the first trans person I ever saw on a sitcom as a baby trans kid.

It's exciting to see a preview of what may be coming our way! I voted for "That '70s Show" for my next pick, but there's a "Rhoda" episode in which Gary wears a dress due to needing to borrow clothes and his interactions with Ida are interesting—plus I'd love to hear your thoughts on the character of Gary in general, who I feel would have been written as gay if the show happened a touch later.

Joseph Barcia

Oh, I would looove an episode on 3rd Rock From the Sun!

Matt LS

What a wealth of "very special" gay episodes of classic sitcoms! If you need more, I'd like to suggest "Frankie Goes to Rutherford" (3rd Rock from the Sun, 5x19) and MAYBE "Drew's Brother" (The Drew Carey Show, 3x09).

Stuart Morishige

I understand it's not as classic as normally, but where American Dad has gotten through and is still running, I thought I'd at least suggest it.

Kacey Spadafora

I'd personally love for you to tackled 30 Rock! A lot of potential there: "Florida" (S07E10), the episode where Jack finds out his mom was a lesbian, "Blind Date" (S01E03) where Jack sets up Liz with a woman (which was GLAAD nominated), or anything with Devon Banks.
