Dear CA3D Community,
We are excited to announce the winners of the second CA3D Painting Contest! We had an incredible response and were amazed by the talent and creativity displayed by all participants. Thank you to everyone who took part and shared their beautiful work with us.
Here are the winners:
1st Place: @ekkius – Painted the Hades diorama - $1000 USD
2nd Place: @glezart3d – Painted Morrigan - $500 USD
3rd Place: @sh4dowsofcolors – Painted Tinker Bell - $250 USD
Congratulations to our top three winners!
The winners were chosen by Groundeffected in collaboration with a group of expert painting artists, and the announcement video is now live on his YouTube channel. We invite everyone to check it out and see the incredible works that earned the top spots.

There were people who chose anime characters that literally were shown no attention and then the people in the top 12 chose super realistic and dynamic pieces. My suggestion to make it more fair is to host categories. But just my two cents which doesn’t mean shit.

I'd ask that the entries be solely posted in discord as Instagram automatically cropped most of my entry photos and I didn't realize it til too late. Not saying my work would've won but Instagram was not fun to use for entries and I never saw my work acknowledged. I've even painted these models on my YouTube as well as GE and still no acknowledgement

For next contests just remember, if you're a large scale model painter you won't have a chance to win, unless they will do a proper contest by dividing into 2 different categories AND follow their own rules instead of lying to everyone about how the judging is handeled
