A new artist

I'm thinking of calling one more artist to form a team. I have a few in mind and each one has its specialty. My models are more focused on realism and I was thinking of calling another artist focused on anime characters or that don't demand so much realism. A good example would be the characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece and Bleach. So it would give a good variety in the styles of the models made available to you.

But if you want, I can call another artist in the same style as mine. You decide

What do you think?

I would deliver 5 models per month

3 made by me

2 made by another artist

It will not increase the value. will be the same

I second that can’t really go wrong adding a different style for the second artist as we still have the original style too!

You have a point...

I'm cool with either art styles, although I find that a lot of modelers that work making anime models do a really bad job at it. A lot of times characters are often very generic, with poor proportions, boring poses, and so on. There is also way TOO much repetition in terms of content: there are near infinite figures of Dragon Ball characters available all around for example, so getting more of it doesn't interest me. So to me it really depends more on how good the artist is, and having a diversity of characters/series that are selected for models. Also, personally If I could also select a different theme than anime, I'd definitely propose games, as it is a much more diverse and interesting topic to me.

Not necessarily make less. Other Patreons like NomNom Figures were originally individual artists (EdyTheCross and EllaArt) who partnered up to increase the number of models without increasing prices, and they have more than the double of number of subscribers they had when they were individually making models. To be more specific, they have more than FOUR times the number of patreons than before. There is definitely strength in numbers, more models may motivate more folks to join.

Thank you very much friend.

And, if you're not going to charge more, that means you'll make less... You have a fan base here, you may as well keep that money for yourself

brian lojeck

To be honest, I'm here because I'm a fan of YOUR work... Not some other guys... As for myself, I personally cannot stand anime style sculptures.

brian lojeck

Yes, that would be great. But most are specialized in something specific. Me as an example, I can make anime characters, but it doesn't look as good as my realistic characters

Carlos Eduardo

You could bring someone on that likes to work a bit of both.

Joshua Jourdan

I'm just testing it for now. Who knows in the future I will call more artists

Carlos Eduardo

Why not both? =p

Joshua Jourdan

I like realism, not that the occasional anime isn't nice but honestly the 3d printing market is saturated with artists producing anime related 3d art.

Christopher Shepherd

not into anime
