I love AIC...and Facelift is bad ass guys lol. This song is one of those that literally makes me feel pain. Anyone who has suffered with addiction can hear this and it slaughters you. Layne was so talented and his voice, yes, is different in this, but you still can't fuck with him! His voice is like pins and needles and its damn near perfect in my opinion as a vocalist. His writing has always been phenomenal and it's bad business what happens to the best of us. Some of us were lucky enough to get out from under it...most weren't.

2024-05-04 11:23:38 +0000 UTCI saw Layne in American Music in Bellevue in '94. He asked me and my friend for directions. Turns out he was looking for McCready's place. Layne looked pretty rough. I remember thinking he looked really out of place in Bellevue. I was star struck but my friend talked to him for a few minutes. It was a really special time to live in the area. Too bad so many of those guys aren't around anymore. I'm just glad we have their music to remember them.
