Wrestle Kingdom (voting story)
Added 2021-07-11 03:27:57 +0000 UTCAn experiment I've been thinking on and off of trying out before stumbling into it. An isekai of wrestling sexy monstergirls in a fantasy video game felt like a fun idea before I decided to make the main girl a mouthy streamer getting into rough fights with the humiliating monsters. That brought along having a chat to heckle her, and when I came down to them voting on who she fights (I know there's modes and mods for stuff like that, like Vermintide voting on what monsters or treasures appear), then figured why not really do it? Your vote figures who she faces. I'll probably release the actual story later on to the public, after a few rounds of fights.
Amanda didn’t remember buying a game called Wrestle Kingdom, but there it was on top of her “to-do pile.” The cover was decorated with several cartoony fantasy characters in a large wrestling ring; orcs and dragons and sexily armored ladies going for flying elbows and suplexes on each other. It looked goofy enough to catch her eye so she popped it into her Playstation and sat down in front of it. The redheaded girl put on her headset, dressed in her casual clothes of some shorts and a sleeveless shirt that showed some of her lightly freckled cleavage.
“Hey, everyone. Trying out this new game today,” she reported, glancing up at her webcam. Her chat was already full of fans, the fairly small-time gamer girl having a few loyal fans and a few passing randos who joined in to ogle her more than her gameplay. She was lean but curvy enough where it counted to consider herself hot and her straight red hair went just past her shoulders.
“Something called Wrestle Kingdom. I’ve got no idea who made it because I can’t find anything online, but whoever sent it, thanks, I guess. Must be some weird forgotten thing from Switzerland or something.”
She hit Start on the menu and it zoomed in on a 3-D model that looked stunningly close to herself.
“Wow. No wonder they recommended it. Looks just like me,” she mused. “Wonder if it’s some indie developer sending me a demo to get some attention.”
She breathed out heavily as she messed with the character creator, but everything seemed stuck. Her race was human and her build, skin and hair color stayed the same. All that really changed was her class.
“Wrestler, Boxer, Scrapper, Brawler, Monk… the hell? Monk’s the only one that sounds normal in the bunch. Let’s just stay default and… Wrestler I guess. Name of the game, isn’t it?”
She skipped over a few confirmations and terms and conditions windows, only pausing to agree to “stream participation mode” before finishing up. As soon as she did, the screen started to glow green. In fact, it crackled with energy. Green lightning started to spark out past her.
“Oh crap! Oh crap it hacked my tv or something!” Amanda blurted. She stood up to back away, just for the light to form a huge hand. It wrapped around her and dragged her into the screen. In one last flash of green, she opened her eyes to find herself standing on a dirt road. She was in the middle of a grassy field with nothing but a few trees within sight. Everything was an especially bright color, with clear skies and richly green grass that moved on its own despite the lack of a breeze.
“Son of a bitch. Am I in the game?” she groaned. She looked down at her bare feet, glad that at least the ground was soft enough to make her not regret it. She jumped in surprise as a flat, floating screen popped up in front of her.
Deluxorz: oh damn. It even sounds like Manda.
Lucky666: pretty realistic graphics too
Shark-panzer: ginger goddess looking good~
“Holy fuck!” Amanda yelped as she backed away, just for the chat window to follow her. “Definitely in the game.”
Amanda frowned and looked around, but the single path made it painfully clear which way to go. She shrugged and started walking down it. No matter how carefully she tread, a shadow suddenly popped up in front of her out of nowhere. It was vaguely humanoid but completely undefined in any detail.
“A monster encounter!” a cheerful woman’s voice piped in from overhead.
“It could be anything lurking in those shadows. These are normally randomly generated based on the area. However, if you’re playing online, viewers can vote on who you’re up against.”
The ground beneath Amanda’s feet rumbled as a full-sized wrestling ring grew up around them both. Amanda’s eyes went wide as she realized what this meant. She ran for the ropes and tried to crawl out to flee the fight, but a shimmering purple barrier kept her stuck inside.
“Shit shit shit… okay, uh… chat. Let’s keep this easy for me, okay?” she asked pleadingly. “I can’t fight for shit and I don’t need one of those ‘die in the game, die in real life’ situations.”
“All damage will be healed when the match is over, and you can make gold by losing a match impressively enough too! So don’t worry about winning or losing~!” the narrative voice went on.
“Helping or hurting here?!” Amanda shouted up at it as the chat was already abuzz with where they were going to pick.
The options popped up in front of her, making her wince as the numbers went up and down based on the chat’s votes:
One was a dorky little goblin girl, scrawny apart from her hips in a dirty loincloth. She wore big glasses and looked shy and awkward, if a slippery little trickster. She was marked as Challenge: Low.
Another was a cute catgirl more her size. She had cosplay-looking ears and tail over a fur bikini, but wore boxing gloves painted to resemble paws. She bobbed around in her default stance, looking like a real showoff. Challenge: Normal.
The last was a tall and muscular girl, clearly some kind of zombie. She had a dull look to her face, her jaw hanging open and eyes half open lazily. Her gray-green skin had some stitches on it, and she was still shaking dirt from her hair. Challenge: Hard.
