Until the Elven Nation Attacked 18

If you had asked me how I expected the very first time I met someone outside of our enclave of elves to go, I would have given you any dozen examples taken straight out of the fiction I had consumed in my first life. But really, considering we'd have to trek through a very long stretch of forest, while at the same time marking the route we took and making sure that the ride on the pickup quadcycle was as smooth as possible, I should've known there was only one way.

I'd leave the job of putting down a paved path to someone else, for now, we just made sure there were no plants that could snag on any of the machinery that wasn't really perfected yet, even though we had redundancies, failsafes and backups, being careful with our equipment was still very important.

Especially since we were still making almost all the parts by hand, though I had left the blueprints for hand operated machinery, in particular a primitive lathe, that could bridge the gap until we had everything ready to generate power.

While we were working on slowly cutting through the forest, which thankfully gave us enough space to operate our vehicle, closer to the outer edge of the forest owing to the great progress we had made, we finally came across something other than the powerful monsters and magical beasts that inhabited the forest, which were becoming increasingly weaker and easier to deal with the closer we got to the edge of the forest.

The forest was actually thicker near the edge than I had expected, which was why we heard them before we saw them, but the sounds of battle were unmistakable. Parking the quad truck, we all gathered together.

"Alright, it's obvious someone is fighting," I stated. "How do we proceed?"

The would be military of our nation all looked at each other for a few seconds, but finally Meltriss stepped forward, raising a hand. "We can use the trees and foliage for cover," she said, "we'll approach and observe, and then decide what to do," she spoke. She pointed at two of the girls. "Fellis, Rita," Meltriss stated. A vanguard and a rearguard, respectively. "You two stay with the Savior and guard her with your lives. "Bea, Koto, both of you circle around and approach from the west. Myself, Terri and Tab will engage from the east, you guys keep hidden until I make the call."

Each of them nodded and prepared their weaponry.

Fellis and Rita both took their position close to me, while one of the bowmen went with each of the strike teams, and then they separated, heading towards the source of the sound, splitting up to do so.

"Savior, we'll guard you with our lives," Fellis spoke, hitting a salute, which still needed more practice.

"Use my very body as a shield if you must!" Rita spoke.

"Riiiight," I sighed. "Okay, let's move forward then," I said.

"Savior, that's dangerous, do you intend to approach the battle?" asked Fellis, her eyes wide. "I, I can't-"

I stepped forward, pulled her into a hug and mashed my lip to hers, my hands moving down her back to squeeze her cheeks, and pressing my crotch against her leg, letting her feel the length and weight of my cock on her thigh, grinding against her exposed skin even as my cock started stirring and pushing against the armored thong I was wearing.

"S-Savior this is-"

I turned on Rita, leaving the staggered Fellis behind, and grabbed her by the thighs, lifting her and pushing her against the nearest tree, pressing my crotch against hers and humping her while sticking my tongue in her mouth, making sure to taste her thoroughly, while letting her feel my bulge against her covered pussy.

As I let her come back down she giggled a little drunkenly and the two were now blushing heavily and entirely too distracted to really put up an argument as I turned around and began to head to where the sounds of battle were coming from. They tried to stop me when they recovered, of course, but I remained ahead of them, long enough to finally reach a clearing in the forest where a battle was occurring.

Meltriss and her troupe had joined battle against what seemed to be some sort of gigantic snake, which was moving like a water current, dodging the arrows and bolts fired at it from both bows and bowguns, but at the same time, it was being forced to move around and dodge, and that meant it was kept away from what looked to be a wagon, around which were a bunch of people.

Jumping onto a tree for vantage, I could see exactly what was going on.

A woman in gleaming golden armor equipped with a similarly golden sword and wearing a cape was standing in front of a wagon with broken wheels, right next to what looked to be a dead two headed horse. Behind the armored woman, there was another woman, and I realized they both had the same ashen gray hair and similar facial features.

While the armored woman had her big fluffy ears exposed, the one behind her was wearing a hat, but from the lack of human ears, I could deduce she had her own pair of fluffy animal ears right on top of her head as well.

They both had scratches, though the girl on the ground, being unarmored and instead wearing a complicated red and white dress, definitely looked like she'd gotten the worst of it.

With all their concentration focused on the giant purple snake with literal wings growing out of its cobra-like hood, it was no wonder that the elves in battle hadn't really noticed my approach, but if we started talking, they'd notice immediately. I turned to Fellis and Rita and put a finger over my lips to shush them as they climbed the same branch I was standing on.

The tree I was on was high above and close to the edge of the clearing, the snake was thrashing about and managing to keep attacks from scoring deep wounds.

I was proud of Meltriss, not just for how much stronger she had become, but also because she had learned so much more than just how to swing her weapons better. She had learned tactics and strategy, both from what I had taught her, literally aping modern fighting techniques.

They were constantly cycling, never sticking too long to one position or role. First Meltriss would start pushing with her knife, and when the snake seemed like it would rear to attack, it would be forced to dodge the barrage of arrows and bolts from the ranged equipment the others sported.

Then someone else would take the role of pushing the melee, while the snake was prevented from retaliating, kept constantly on the backfoot, or it would if it had feet anyway.

But that just wasn't gonna end it, and it would only take one mistake or one reckless attack from the snake to kill one of them. And far be it from me to sit back and just watch as one of my beloved elves could possibly be put in danger or much worse, actually be hurt when I could prevent it. Only villains sit back and watch innocents suffer when they could help!

I bent my knees, leaned forward, and allowed myself to fall just enough that I was aimed directly at where the snake was, and then, with a mighty kick, I pushed myself off of the branch while pulling my knife out of its sheath near my waist.

I crashed into the snake like a bullet, and while I had intended to just stab it in the eye to incapacitate it long enough for the others to finish it off... I had seriously underestimated how hard I could kick, because I found myself facing severe and terrible pain as my arm went right through the snake's eyesocket and into its skull and then so did my shoulder and much of my torso.

Next thing I knew my head went through the thick bone of the snake's skull and out the other side and then I was on the ground covered in snake brain matter and bits of bone, and worse still, faceplanting like an absolute buffoon.

The good news were, my attack killed the snake.

The bad news, meanwhile... were that its corpse, due to the momentum imparted into it from impact, was falling right on top of me. My eyes went wide and for a moment panic filled me but then, Meltriss, blessed be her legs and initiative, tackled me out of the way and then we rolled to a stop just in time to watch the snake crash with a huge thudding noise and threw up a cloud of dust, dirt, small rocks and small plants.

Meltriss was right on top of me, blushing a little, but the armor we were both wearing made it not quite as lewd as it could be, since our breasts couldn't do that lovely thing where they push against each other like marshmallowy pillows. Alas, it is what it is. The captain stood up, and gave me a hand to do the same, pulling me up, with a blush on her face.

"Are you alright Savior?" Meltriss asked, looking me over, as the other six elves all came down to check up on me.

"Y es, I'm fine, armor held, I've just got a couple scratches," I said, frowning. "I'll really need a bath and some time to clean my armor though," I added, looking at the mess I'd become, pulling out a chunk of what I hope is just the snake's hide and not its brain out of the rather sensitive spot it'd gotten lodged in.

Tossing it aside, I pushed past the worrying elves' concern and their wandering hands as they made sure to check every exposed bit of me, offering them smiles and reassurances as to my health and safety, but eventually, they let me through, as I head towards the two women.

I hummed. The goddess filled in the blanks as to what I was looking at. The armor was not gold, rather, it was called Electrum, and based on the properties the goddess was feeding me, it was basically a few steps below Duranium, and usually the kind of stuff you would see only used sparingly.

An entire set of plate armor, everything but the helm, from the sabatons to the gauntlets, with faulds, pauldrons, breastplate, cuisses, poleynes, greaves, you name it, it was made with Electrum. That meant the people standing in front of me were either unbelievably, mind boggingly rich, or they were royalty escaping from something. At least high aristocracy. Nobles for sure.

I walked up to the two of them, and the armored woman clenched her hand around her blade, but from her bloodshot eyes, shaking back, trembling muscles and shortness of breath, I could tell she was only being held together by adrenaline. Based on the shaking of her knees and the fact she's locking together the pieces of her armor to not crumple, by leaning in a specific way, I can imagine, I could just blow on her and knock her down.

Something struck me. Can we understand each other?

"... Hi?" I tried, raising my hand.

"E-Elves..!" the girl behind the woman gasped. "Nua, they're elves!! The legends were true!"

The dame in the golden armor breathed out, her nostrils flared as she trembled a little, and pointed her fancy blade at me. "They could, could be- enemy agents..!" she said, "behind me, Valeria, I'll-"

"Yeah about that," I said, raising my hand and reaching for her sword, pulling my middle finger against my palm and putting my thumb on my fingernail, doing this slowly and deliberately as my hand approached the flat of the sword.

I felt like an absolute shitter as I let my finger go and flicked her sword away. She looked like she'd been hit by some huge gust of wind, trying to grab her sword but having it wrenched out of her hands by the force of the finger flick.

My own eyes betrayed my surprise, no doubt, I felt the strain of how wide they got before I collected myself. I hadn't expected to be that strong, I knew we were very strong, and that her grip was weak, but I just expected her to drop it, I didn't expect the sword to go flying and stab into a tree. Handle first.

Okay.

So I've grossly underestimated how fucking strong elves are, again. And I've even more underestimated how fucking strong I am.

The armor makes a lot of metallic noises as she crumbles and collapses to the ground in a crumpled heap. I believe I heard the smaller one say her name was Nua.

"Your name's Nua, isn't it?" I asked, "and you're Valeria, right?" I added, looking at the one who was dusting her dress off as she stood up.

"Yes! I am Valeria Lanaria Riviera!" she called, raising her skirts and bending over a 45 degree angle. Yep. Definitely a noble lady. "This is my older sister, Nureada Aegis af Riviera!" she said, smiling brightly. "We come in peace!"

The golden armored woman tried to get back on her feet.

"Pointing swords at people doesn't make them very confident that you really do come in peace," I pointed out, crossing my arms. "Nevertheless, I am a gracious Savior and I will hear you out. Though I should say, you've got weapons trained on you and you'll be dead before you can try anything crazy so, pick your words carefully."

The noble looking girl swallowed, clearly nervous. I couldn't say I was the greatest body language reader ever, but my incredible eyesight gave me a lot of information. She was trembling ever so slightly, her eyes were constantly looking at where her sister was struggling just to get back on her feet, she was clenching and unclenching her hands and her muscles were tensing up, and not relaxing.

"R-Right, I'm sorry, we apologize, we're nervous and scared, the forest was far more dangerous than we ever suspected," Valeria said, swallowing. "We've heard of the wondrous magic and incredible blessings of the elves," she said, "it's our last desperate hope, the wisdom of the elves, to save our ailing mother!"

Hm. Well. That was convenient.

We were hoping to establish relations with other countries, and this would be just as good a start as any. "I have to ask- why are you in this forest on your own?" I, well, asked. "It's clearly dangerous and you weren't prepared. You look wealthy, no escorts, no guards?" I asked.

"We... severely underestimated the dangers of the forest, and the depth at which we would find the elven enclave," Nureada admitted, her voice trembling. "I am the mightiest of my people, I... thought myself sufficient, and yet-"

Meltriss approached me. "Savior, shall we see to their wounds?" she asked. "We've got first aid equipment," she whispered into my ear.

"Right..."

I looked them over.

Valeria looked like she'd grow up into a fine beauty some day. And Nureada, well, she already was. Frankly, I was already looking forward to engaging in some dick based diplomacy with her. She had sharp features and a bit of a fierce look, which was getting me randy.

"How about we take you two to safety first," I said. "We," I said, gesturing at myself and the seven elves escorting me, "were heading outside of our enclave on a diplomatic mission," I explained.

"Is that true..?" the younger girl's eyes almost sparkled with hope. "Then..! I've found you, our savior!"

Huh. Deja vu.

I exhaled out of my nose in amusement. "Alright, I'll see about that. I'd have to meet your mother first, of course," I said.

"Mother is in our carriage," Valeria spoke. "Come, Miss Elf, my savior!!" she called, grabbing me by the wrist. Of course this caused every other elf in the clearing to bristle but before they could react and long before her hand reached my wrist, I raised my hand to stall their reaction, and the girl carried me to the carriage.

The ruined carriage opened, and inside, I was surprised to find a woman who looked nothing like either of her alleged daughters. Her hair was blue, her ears were longer, she was wearing robes that the goddess immediately classified as the holy vestments of high ranked clergy, and she carried a staff tipped with a gem that looked like it wouldn't be out of place in some opulent cathedral's display room.

Also she had most of her legs exposed and every fiber of my being unified in the desire to be smothered in her thighs. Just, dayum, I mean we elves are gifted but each of those could be my pillow for the rest of my life and I'd never get bored.

Oh, also, she was more than a little redfaced and clearly their desperation made a lot more sense.

Coincidentally, I also immediately learned that we didn't need to go back home and consult Stella for a magical cure, or Lotte for medicine.

I almost wanted to burst out laughing because the goddess promptly informed me that what I was looking at was a priestess of another god, and more importantly, a priestess that was simply suffering from a deficiency of divine power. Essentially, her body had developed a dependence on the stuff and for whatever reason her god wasn't giving it to her anymore.

"Okay, good news and possibly bad news."

"W-What..?" Nureada asked, looking at where her sword was still stuck in a tree.

"Can you save mother?!" Valeria asked, hope and fear warring in her gaze.

The woman panted heavily, barely managing to open up her eyes at me, trembling a little.

"Good news is, I can definitely save her," I said, as I had no doubt in the Goddess' word.

"Then what's the, uh, bad news?" Valeria asked.

"I... can't tell you about that," I said. "You're going to have to trust me, and leave me to work alone and in secret."

Nureada bravely managed to walk up to me, and again I had to forestall a violent reaction. "You-"

I closed the distance between us and put my lips next to her ear, leaning on her armor to do so, on my tippy toes. "I can save your mom but I need to have sex with her to do so," I explained to her. She immediately went red in the face.

"What the fu-"

I slapped her lightly. "Not so loud," I harshly chastised her. "So take your little sister and give me some space so I can talk to your mother, okay?"

Valeria looked confused.

Nureada looked at me, then looked at her sister, then seemed resigned.

Well then.

Time to talk an aristocrat priestess into mating to save her life. The things I do for unbelievably sexy women, I swear...
