News! Updating/Rotating the $50 tier

The response from the polls and commenters is almost unanimously for the idea of rotating the top tiers on the Patreon, so it looks like I should be able to safely make this change. It’s a tiny bit more work on my end, but should hopefully bring in some more variety and make more people happy. Considering that I’m doing almost zero commission work at the moment, it feels more important to let newer folks or returning fans get at it.

So if you don't plan to pledge $50 with me, that's fine! This news doesn't concern you much! Enjoy your stay.

So here’s my current plan:

On the 25th of each month, I’ll ask $50 donors to adjust their pledges to a lower level. If you don’t within a day or two, I’ll manually lower you to $5 (you can adjust that as you like). Patreon tends to start charging near the end of the month rather than the start, so I’d rather do this to avoid having to refund anybody who stays in there too long. First come first serve, so any past the 4th slot I’m not likely to be able to deliver. Unless you just feel like giving me an extra 50 for support rather than rewards, in which case awesome.
On the 1st of each month, any donors who did not pledge 50 last month are free to do so to fill in the spots. This should help everyone who wants it to get a swing at it. DON’T pledge at the end of the month when the slots open, because you’ll likely get double-charged.
After a week (around the 7th), if there are any open 50 slots remaining, I’ll announce it to the patrons. Backers who donated at this level last month are free to claim the same spot.
Reset to step 1 at the 25th again.

So current pledgers don’t have anything to worry about right now. Around the end of the month I’ll send out a warning post if folks haven’t lowered their pledges already.
