Nigel, your story relates so much to a lot of people, including me. Something similar happened to me when I was a kid. They took my blood pressure, but it was so high that the doctor told my dad to rush me to the hospital to get my heart checked. My dad knew it was nothing but he still took me. They did a EKG on me and my results were normal, too. Come to find out when I got older, I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. The first time I woke up during a panic attack (they're call nocturnal panic attacks), it was the scariest feeling I've ever had in my life. I literally thought I was dying! And the anxiety feeling in my chest just radiated throughout my entire body for about three days afterwards. All you've described in this video is 100% normal. The fact that it's normal is odd though, because in my opinion, and I'm sure yours, too, is that no one should have to feel that, but hey, it is what it is. Drinking definitely can and will intensify anxiety and panic attacks. So, I'm glad you took that into account when thinking about what you need to recover. Also, if you've never had social anxiety, like me, but was always an anxious person, to fly to another state and then hang with a group of people on and off live stream like that, can also trigger attacks. It did for me before I learned I had a panic disorder. I would go out, be fine, and then all of a sudden I'd panic for no freaking reason. It was so frustrating. I got put on an anxiety med, and it changed my life forever. I don't like taking medication, but I finally gave in and was glad I did. I hope you feel better and find a path that is best for you, no matter how long it takes. Dozens won't leave you, nor will they forget about you. Thank you for sharing something so personal and vulnerable. I will keep praying for you. Dozens fighting!
