And yeah that isn’t fully respectful to not listen to the whole song, but if you don’t like a song by the chorus, you may not want to listen to the whole song. Everyone is different. Dude I stan itzy heavy but I knew by the chorus of gold I didn’t really like it. I listened to the whole thing to see, I admit, but I wanted to skip it too. You didn't agree and it kinda got you in the feelers, but rationality and logic allowed you to let it go, because you care for him and you understand opinion. Beautiful. Specially coming from someone existing on both sides of the situation. Truly. Love it. (2nd Gen is awesome, I do hope he finds time someday to let their music wash over him and invade his mind.) Lol I will say though, it IS a different world, you gotta be eclectic to truly find multiple groups you love on BOTH sides of the divide that exists between 1st&2nd and 3rd&4th. If you have a VERY distinct taste, it can be hard. But even then, there will always be at least one group keeping the essence you love alive, because they loved it too. For me, it was also Stray Kids, they had thay wild cars factor I loved about 2nd gen. You never know what you will get from them. 2nd gen was VERY unpredictable in the most chaotic ways! 🤣 So yeah, I can understand why people may not realize that a whole album by a 2nd gen group may not be your thing... but their next one!! You may live and die by it!! That knowledge ALONE can definitely make a 2nd gen fan sensitive to judgemental. We are all human, we all have feelings... likewise, we also have opinions! We just need to try and be understanding of both sides. That's all.

I think he would enjoy BamBam's song "Last Parade". I like Jackson Wang but I'm still very iffy on his music.. it's good but it's not quite what I like. However, I've only tried 2 songs of his so far. I did hear about them having a comeback in January. I look forward to them coming back together and see what they've got.

I find myself doing that because as I'm learning new groups and songs, I can only go by references of what I've already heard. Some I like, some I don't like. That's just how it is. It's your experience and your opinion, I love to hear it. You're my favorite reaction person. For real though. I rewatched Kingdom with you just for your reactions and I could relate to many of your emotions throughout that show. Same with the SKZ Survival show. Keep being the wonderful, caring, amazing and funny person that you are! For me, you're one of the best parts of learning new things about these K-Pop groups. I can be having the worst day and watch one of your videos, I'll be dying laughing by the end and in such better spirits. We love and adore you, Nigel. Side note: I have listened to K-pop on and off since my early 20's (37 now). Starting with TVXQ, 2NE1, BigBang and BLACKPINK. I didn't really dive deeply into the K-Pop world until Stray Kids, though. Now that I am settled into my ultimate group, I am branching out and listening to other groups. Ateez is one of those groups, especially after watching Kingdom. I'm also exploring BTOB, BamBam, Jackson Wang, ENHYPEN, SF9, GOT7, TXT, AESPA, Kiss of Life, EXO, Taemin, WayV, and ONEUS. For me, some of these groups have songs that miss the target with me but there's been at least 1 song per group that I've enjoyed. (I'm always open to song recommendations)

I dont get this whole competition where fans just say "oh my favs won this award" or "oh my favs went to a very big event like the Grammy's or Coachella". Every Kpop group works hard and I appreciate what they do for their fans. I just feel like if we just bond and just be kind to every fandom then we wouldn't be having fan wars, which most of the times are ridiculous. I'm a 3rd gen Stan so I Stan BTS since 2016, there are ppl who have at least 3 Kpop groups on their top 3. For me Ateez and BTS are on that list obv and im not saying that other Kpop groups are trash, as I said, they are unique in their own ways and im going to continue looking for a group to Stan that fits my style.

As much as we should all be sensitive to other people’s feelings, we should also respect that everyone has their own opinions based on their own thoughts based on their own life experiences. We should not take everything personal and recognize that we may not always agree with things people do or say but it’s got nothing to do with us at the end of the day and the longer you hold onto that stuff instead of using your energy to focus on all the positives, the less time you spend focusing on the fun and enjoyable moments. Are there good things/reasons behind cancel culture? There can be; but it has made everyone so filled with anxiety that they are always ready to fight-- all people hear anymore is negative, even when what is being said is positive. There is no more keeping your options to yourself, no moving on to the next video if you don't agree, no letting things go, and absolutely no believing the best in people anymore. No one knows how to just have a different opinion and quietly move on anymore. There are things to fight for and things that aren't. Fighting about a haircut and fighting about basic human rights are 2 very different things and deserve very different reactions. I wish we could go back to knowing how to take a joke, believing the best in someone, and just knowing that you're opinion does not need to be voiced on every topic, video or post you see. I have faith that you would never intentionally say something disrespectful or harmful. These times have become so bone-deep exhausting and we need to fight for the little spots of positivity out there as hard as we fight to tear each other down. 💜

Shinee and Big Bang have some good hits but I enjoy a lot of their solo music more. You can’t force people to like music and you can’t force someone to agree with you. Everyone’s entitled to their opinions, I don’t think your intention was ever to discredit any of the earlier groups, many of us really only like one or a few groups. I have to agree not everyone hits like Ateez, SKZ, or BTS. BUT that’s not me saying other groups don’t have good songs. Idk this is just one of those touchy subjects in Kpop.
