Also read the diary entries that is in every album, it has the official lore and explains everything. Also Hongjoong was looking at Halateez Hongjoong that came to him for help. The chromer, sandglass, can help them travel through dimensions and time. So it helped Hongjoong bring his friends back to him after they went their own separate ways.

It will make a HUGE difference in understanding the plot. Each album has a diary to go with it to read. They're pretty great. Maybe mid-tier fan fiction level, but they add so much! Please do yourself a favor and read them.

It explains a lot of the lore. The playlist has a video for almost every album up until Work. It'll make the lore much more easy to understand

2024-12-05 09:58:29 +0000 UTCSO basically the fever series is a prologue of the treasure series, so the diary film was basically showing how all of them separated at one point and had to deal with their own life but came back together to each search for their own treasure–hongjoong to connect with his far family, seonghwa to be free of his to-do lists and punctual life, yeosang to escape his controlling dad, yunho to fulfill his brothers dream of pursuing music, wooyoung to overcome his stage fright, san to have stability, jongho n mingi to not give up on their dreams– if you pay attention to the lyrics you'll notice it's all about them breaking free from what is expected of them and embarking on their own journey to find who they really are (the treasure) which starts the treasure series into the world series. fever onward is very lore heavy and so fun to find little clues they leave in mvs for us which you'll always find at the end of their mvs so always let them play out!!! but yea sorry if this is confusing i just get so excited to talk about their lore – ALSO idk if u made the connection or not but the line "passion, young, fever" from fever is also a line in turbulence that hongjoong says again to conclude the fever series :')

I had the same reaction to To the Beat when it first came out, but the more you see them perform it, I don't know how to explain it; it gets better, just trust me. This album came out during COVID-19, and all of us were missing them. Their tour had to be canceled, so one day at a time was a little consolation for us that we'll see each other soon. I love that song so much. I personally love fever part 3 (epilogue is tied) the most out of all the fevers but the next one has my all time favorite song take me home and I absolutely cannot wait for you to hear and react to it. idk if anyone mentioned this already but in the next album you'll notice mingi is missing from the mv and any performances during that era because that was when he went on hiatus for his anxiety for 9 months. honestly the longest 9 months of my life but he was still included in the songs and his verses were absolutely amazing as always. I'm so happy you chose ateez to stan and that you're loving them with us <33 sooooooo many bangers are awaiting you

And if I've repeated the song 5 times, I probably cried 2-3 times. The song never fails to make me cry. I think "Maybe we're living younger, that's why we're fever" is referring to how in our youth our emotions, feelings, urges, and sense of wanting to be/find ourselves is burning/hot. I also believe that's why the series is named Fever, but atinys who we're around then can probably better explain. /// You're right about the theme for 'Thanxx'. It's not about actually being thankful. It's more like "thanks, but no thanks" to adults that are constantly trying to push advice or their ideals on to you instead of allowing you to make your own decisions. /// I figured you wouldn't like 'To the Beat', it's not really my taste either, but they do a mix of it with 'Good Lil Boy' and 'The Leaders' on a few stages. Also would recommend to watch the MV till the last second. There is often sth else to keep us excited. I love the Fever series. It has one of the best songs Icon covered Inception on Kingdom but it is very different. Inception is amazing

It's one of the many Ateez songs that might grow on you after seeing live performances, bc imo their charisma and performance on stage are really the main event with their music haha. You NEED to see a live stage for Inception, the emotion they show is breathtaking!! The second and third (also by the views on YT) were Answer and Inception. I listened to them one after the other. Both are vocal, dramatic and epic. Jesus I got chills then. So for me for this reason Answer and Inception were kinda sisters. Cause they went together when I listened to them. and they also were on repeat obviously. THIS is where a lot of people finally started to take notice in them. No like actually! Their intros are SO good! They definitely know how to draw people into an album! Omfg I’m so happy you watched the diary film!! It’s amazing 🥺 (it’s San… I am barking yes—) The entire fever part 1 album takes place in world A, (the normal ateez reality). Like it said in the comments, the diary film is based on Ateez’s real life experiences and feelings. I think for Jongho it addressed his injuries and the fact that when he was younger he was really deciding between basketball and music. And Wooyoung actually had real life stage fright in the beginning of his career that I think he addressed on one of his solo projects (can’t remember the name 😭). I’m surprised you liked thanxx— but LMAO!! It’s so funny that you were talking about the budget, because it was revealed later on that during this time, KQ (ateez’s company) was either at risk of going into debt , or were already in debt (can’t remember the logistics of it) 💀 Ateez essentially SAVED them from it tbh with how successful they were in 2021. That’s why during this era you’ll hear that they performed every stage like it could’ve be their last (bc they really didn’t know if it WOULD be) I’m so glad that you rewatched the mv for inception, bc it hits SO much harder when you actually know who Ateez are. It also hits so hard when you realize that the bridge has a line for every single member before the final chorus. 7.5 is a pretty good rating for this album! I’m not surprised you weren’t feeling to the beat, it’s not one that I really like from them either 😭 But yes! When Hongjoong and Mingi rap AT each other, you know the song is gonna be an absolute banger! Can’t wait for Fever Part. 2!! I don’t think you’ll like it more than this album, but I cannot WAIT for your reaction to Celebrate 😭🧡
