Yes Volcano is an amazing song as well. Han never fails to show how incredible of a lyricist he is. I think my favorite part of the song is when he says “I'm the drought, you're rain, I'm paper, you're a poem. Your attention changes the brightness of my empty heart, you are light. Your arms, my home, my breath, my God” obviously that’s a lot for a tattoo but that’s something I would do maybe minimized a bit lol

This song is sooooooo beautiful. Hannie got inspiration from a tv show that he loves and that’s what it’s based upon. Two people real love story. The fact that you mention that he can sing and make us feel something that we never felt before, in a way he hasn’t either. He made this beautiful song based upon a love story he learned about. Singing with emotions that maybe foreign to him as well. I can’t not express how truly gifted Hannie is.

to me, when he says "the memories and words we shared wash over me again..." and then it goes into the chorous "aaahhhh ahhhh ahhhh" (my fave part) its almost like as he's reliving all those nostalgic memories from back when he was happy with that person. Though he starts to get consumed by them, so in attempts to muffle them/ clear his mind he sings that comforting melody to sooth himself "ahhhh ahhh ahhh". Since it is too painful and overwhelming to look back at how happy he once was with that person, now that all that happiness has gone along side with that person who is no longer with him. idkkkk that was my first thought when listening to it and it really resonated with me. I love that Nigel goes into this long beautiful explanation about Han’s songs and then there’s Han that’s like “I wrote this after watching two episodes of a show.” Han is truly an empath because he can take someone else’s emotions and pour them perfectly into a song making everyone believe the lyrics could be about himself. He’s so incredibly talented.

This actually isn’t based on his real-life experience. A lot of his are based on TV shows and anime so it’s generally safe to assume it’s based on something he saw on TV. Not to say that there isn’t some of his experience in them but… This song specifically is based on a couple on the Korean dating show EXchange who had been dating for 13 years before they broke up. He explained it in depth on a live including the scenes from the show he took it from. ☺️

I've had this song stuck in my head for days, it's gorgeous. I love your description of it as a cool breeze. Han somehow captured nostalgia in song form, I can't help but travel back to simpler times when I hear it. The talent Han has always blows me away. the opening line being “this happiness doesn’t seem to be mine”almost made me jump into oncoming traffic actually, i paused it immediately as well nigel 😭 but he wrote this song after watching a dating show where the couple dated for 13 years but eventually had to break it off due to their career choices. it seems like the boy gave up his dream for the girl but in the end they had to split. the story is so sad, but i’m always impressed by how han always manages to accurately portray others emotions. his empathy is so high and the way he can put himself in other’s shoes, one of the best lyricists istg. and the song sounds so smooth, but still never lacks any emotional depth, i’m glad he decided to release it
