STRAY KIDS KINGDOM EP. 7 (PART 2)

For me, the differences between the dance groups was, like, it was a theatrical performance vs a stage, ykwim? Like, It’sONE was very contemporary and story-driven, something you’d see in a theatre hall. I really liked how they mixed modern dance with Korean history and trading, I thought that was really cool. But for Mayfly, it felt like something I’d see on the stage of, like, World Dance or smthn, know? They felt like a dance crew to me lmao. I really think that they have the advantage here because this is a stage to select the top IDOLS, and they stayed very true to the core of Idol Performances, imo. Tl;dr - Both teams were super amazing, and I’m so glad Nigel really got into both <3 I just feel like Mayfly has the advantage bc their performance was exciting, but still familiar.

i think mayfly did well with having many members in the units cuz pretty much each member of the team had a chance to shine rather than only picking a few of what you know is the best to almost guarantee perfection. it’s one had SO MANY members yet only 3 rappers and dancers performed? i didn’t really like that. also more members meant more and easier chemistry. it’s one’s units were pretty awkward and imo you could only really see their chemistry while/after they performed but with mayfly its almost instant

like it’s one are really talented and individually ive been rooting for the boyz to be top 3 but i haven’t really gotten the same vibes with them as mayfly especially with the boyz striving to be at the top, sf9 wanting it to but being unable to get it, and ikon (esp bobby) not really caring and just being there for the vibes (which is a good thing in itself but not when you’re with other kinds of people). that’s just my opinion

i will say imo Mayfly has had the most chemistry and best vibes throughout kingdom and i think that’s the reason they were at the top so many times. like with a couple members previously being close (peniel and chan, wonyoung and changbin) and the fact that they’re so outgoing and comfortable is what makes them the best group(s).

I think honestly that mayfly did an amazing job with the nine members. every team decided how many members will perform in which unit. and if anything, it only is another plus point for mayfly that they used and showcased the abbilities of EVERY member of their groups, while itsone literally only used half their group, while half the members didnt get to showcase anything. yes, it might be more difficult with more people, but they did amazing and proved that every member if every group is valuable and brings something to the table. i would have loved to see more members of icon/sf9/theboyz on stage tbh

Nigel Oppa (Can't stop laughing at this lmao). I think you don't have to call someone from the same year hyung. Lix, Han and Seungmin don't call each other hyung and even tho Hyunjin sometimes jokingly ask these three to call him hyung they never do (at least not seriously) cause he is also a 2000 liner. Sunbaenim/sunbae is not for people older than you. It means that they are your seniors in a field (here in the music industry). Most Ateez members are the same age as skz member (even older for some of them) but they still call skz sunbaenim (only for the camera I think cause they're friends and do not always speak formally) because they debuted first

The thing with Mayfly and ItsOne is that Mayfly definitely planned their sub-units much better... I feel like if they had used The Boys dance line to its full potential, the whole competition would be in a different ball park. With vocals too, its easy to make mistakes so if you don't pick and choose the BEST then you'll be in trouble.

Juyeon from the BOYZ has a similar dancing style to Hyunjin. Ofc Hyunjin is first, but Juyeon is up there in 4th gen's best dancers, and then there's San from Ateez. But, everyone is soooo talented on here. It's so fun to watch!!

its one performance was so creative and breathtaking. Mayfly was also creative and powerful. the impact they each displayed was so crazy. I loved how emotional the Korean story was, and then I loved how Mayfly's kept you at the edge of your seat the entire time. I can't wait for the vocal unit, I wish i.n would have performed with them but he is a great dancer as well. I think the last performance still shook him up. Jongho Seungmin and Eunkwon beautiful match up. its one I think will be really good too

I think the main difference between the teams is that Mayfly used every member of each group, making sure they were all included while It'sOne only used the 'best' and didn't utilize the full teams. I think both teams did good but it's pretty clear that Mayfly was going to win just based on the teams they put together

Also fun fact, it made sense the ateez put so many people for the dance performance, as a group even today they have been highly praised for their performance abilities and even have a thing called a “demon line” which is consists of the members San, Hongjoong, & Seonghwa ! Bc of how intimidating their stage presence can be when they’re performing so much so that people make the analogy of them being possessed by the performance itself (which is a HUMONGOUS difference to their personalities offstage) !

It is a very respectable thing to do especially when you don’t even know each other. Like talking informally and formal can only be granted by the older person and so on. Like in the americas, boss, sir, ma’am but take it an extra step further and call people two weeks older than you ma’am and sir. That’s why people take it so seriously! And I can’t wait till u start getting into A TO THE ZZZ, the quote was so real. You’ll love them just as much as the SKZ. They are like brothers but two different skill sets in groups. Just realized that i wasnt typing my reaction. But the way i cackled when you said you knew it wasn't anyone from our side because they were panning up for so long. I LOST IT. The 3 dancers did a REALLY good job. OH NIGEL JUST WAIT. YOU WILL SEE HOW THEY EXPLAIN IT WITH DANCE. You see how they're able to tell the story through dance now Nigel? 😏 After watching Kingdom multiple times i feel like it's one should have won the dance round. Nine can definitely put on a bigger performance than three. However, three can be so much cleaner than nine, so it really just depends on how well the team's perform in my opinion. So just going off of numbers. No one really had it in the bag you know. And to be honest it's one could have also had that many members as well because a lot of the members from the boys did not perform and I only just realized this watching it for like the six time and I don't understand why everybody from each team did not perform. Like I think one or two people from iKon didn't perform. I think like three people from SF9 didn't perform. I know somebody was hurt but I don't know about the other people. And then obviously all of the people from the boys didn't perform but everybody from team mayfly performed except for Changsub? The one dude that look both 50 and 20 and BtoB that be disappearing. But I think he was sick maybe. Exactly Nigel. Exactly. Yes the vocal round is absolutely stunning. Yea. I really wish I.N was a part of the vocal team but unfortunately i think he was still effected by his perceived mess up from I'll be your man. Felix was a meme bcuz of the Felix part 😹. They both did really really good but i think the story was deeper. However mayfly did sing while dancing. I think this one was the closest round. For sure it made it rougher to watch teams be on the bottom once you fell in love with them as 2 big groups. Oh yeah i forgot that they blue balled us this episode.
