They shouted with their whole chest because MAMA was using them for publicity for Kingdom: Legendary War without even nominating them for any award as MAMA does, even after they had God’s Menu and Backdoor. Incidentally, Han also released I got it the same day as MAMA aired. 😏

I think they had won a rookie award or something in 2018, but in 2019, they didn't even go, they weren't nominated for anything. which, okay, they weren't that big yet. but in 2020 they weren't nominated for anything AGAIN, after having God's Menu and Backdoor under their belt, which were both very successful. last minute MAMA invited skz to do this performance to announce they were going to be on kingdom, so they chose to perform Victory Song to say, 'even though you didn't bother to even nominate us, we still are the winners'. also this was during covid, so everything was pre recorded not live, and chan live streamed during the airing of the award show and he had like millions of ppl watching(more than those watching MAMA im pretty sure), so he stole their viewers as an extra screw you lmao. oops, sorry for the essay lol.

Also people already mentioned this, but this performance was how Stray Kids announced that they were going to participate in Kingdom! The two other guys who danced with Hyunjin were from ATEEZ (the guy in the black) and The Boyz (the guy in the white) and they also participated in Kingdom.

In my personal opinion, when you do start watching it whenever that may be. You should definitely watch the actual whole show. I first watched it with only knowing Stray Kids and being a babystay. Its so fun to watch all of the groups performances and getting to know some of the relationships between the groups!! Also when I first watched Kingdom, I did in fact skip some of the makings of the performances for the groups I'd never heard of. But you are free to do it however you want. Im just waiting for the day you get into it!!!! Thanks again Nigel, and happy early birthday (I'll be back to comment on your actual bday)!!! P.S Hyunjin is not in %98 of kingdom unfortunately but its still a great watch and our boys did amazing regardless

As others have mentioned, this MAMA performance was announcing three of the participating groups for the Kingdom show! The two other dancers were San from Ateez (black) and Juyeon from The Boyz (white). The Boyz were the winners of Road To Kingdom (almost like the show before Kingdom) so they start the fight as the defenders of the crown. Stray Kids comes in next as the main challenger and then Ateez as the dark horse. Both Ateez and The Boyz also had EPIC SCALE performances at this MAMA show. I would love it if you check out those ones (but in particular the Ateez one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQJIszK1EOo). I look forward to you watching Kingdom where you will get to know them all a lot more! This was just a taste of what you will see when watch Kingdom! But be prepared...they are LONG episodes. But totally worth it! It is a great intro to other groups for you while still getting to learn more about SKZ! Also be aware that Hyunjin is not in any of the Kingdom episodes after the first one as he was on hiatus (which is the biggest shame because we know he would have performed the hell out of it).

When I saw them in concert, they did the Mama version. I love it and my favorite part is Changbin and Han. Definitely an anthem song.

There was a lot of stuff that happened at the time behind the scenes regarding mnet and skz. In the end, Mnet asked them last minute to perform so they put this together within a few days maybe a week which is a testament to how hard working skz are and how amazing performers they are

I feel like you either need to watch the actual show or watch the performances from it cause it will blow your mind how crazy live performances have come.

Driven by their confidence and desire to succeed, nothing but victory will be theirs. For this show it was the perfect song too because in the spring, they would compete on Kingdom. So the triangular fight was the intro of that show too. The other dancers were from The Boyz (winners of the previous kingdom show) and Ateez (also new to the Kingdom like SKZ). Kingdom is a great way for you to check out some other groups because all of the performances are over the top and good. You can appreciate them and their talents even if you aren't into the other groups.

The Triangular Fight that you watched was for Stray Kids, The Boyz (white) and Ateez (black). Before the SKZ Victory Song Performance, The Boyz and Ateez already performed (not sure the order anymore hahah) and at the end they met at the Triangular Fight. One day when you start to react to Kingdom, please react to their introduction episode too (Ep. 0)

2023-09-05 20:59:53 +0000 UTCso there is actually like 2 or 3 other parts to this performance, one part was a collab stage with skz+ateez+theboyz , another part was theboyz performance and the last part is ateez performance. all of the performances connect to each other and this was there way of announcing that all three groups (skz, ateez, and theboyz) were gonna be on the competition program called Kingdom: legendary war which you have seen some performances from already! ok so i wrote the first part of this before i finished watchiing the video lol but the end bit was the collab stage! with ateez, skz and theboyz!!!
