Chapter 3 Question and Dragonform WIP

In terms of the first Ch 3 release what is the minimum you would like to see?
I could aim to release a preview with a working dragonform, part of the new area to explore and a new monster with related surrender scene. Or I could wait until I have part of the story built out but it would take longer.
Eventually I want the start of chapter 3 to be the part of the game where a few optional side areas open up. This stuff would be added over time but for a first pass it might make sense to power through development of the main storyline, even if it may seem rushed at first it can be expanded on later.
I think the default answer is usually "release whatever you got and people who want the story can wait for the next build." But I have to keep in mind people will play this without reading any of the dev logs or notifications and then bombard me with questions about how to advance the story. I suppose it cannot be helped.
I meant this to be a short question but it's not really that simple. I'll keep hammering away at it.

I'd agree with this. I would also say that when it comes to new releases, new or improved system features should probably be the priority, then follow it up with the story release when you're ready.

2022-11-18 22:11:12 +0000 UTCLooks awesome! I think short delivery cycles are kind of intended to help you progress more efficient and get meaningful feedback to polish early. As users can simply skip versions till the finished parts they want, the real question probably comes down to: how much extra time does creating a release cost? If releasing only takes you a few hours, i'd say always go for the "release whatever you got..". The questions about story etc will always come as it simply is an unfinished product imho, which is fine. You can choose to address this in the release notes which makes everyone informed, and your answers can refer to those :).
