The above picture is my scene file, loaded with nothing because nothing was saved but the skeleton...
Bad News First
Maya corrupted my scene file. Since I didn't do incremental saves, I lost all of my work for Yumi.
Daidouji is safe since she exists in a different file.
I'll have to redo the process over again for Yumi, this time making sure incremental saves is ON.
Yumi's clothes is such a pain too because of the shoulder area. It's best skinned in a relaxed A pose, but the HS mesh is in a T pose, so I had to do some black magic rigging tricks to try and get a smooth transition.
I'm really considering not doing any more of those style of clothes... Funnily enough, this is the same problem I had with Kokoro's casual outfit.
In short, I have to redo Yumi's clothes.
Good News
I figured out how to use Dynamic cloth. The main issue with this is that it can't be controlled, or at least they can't be easily controlled.
I have a few ideas in mind that may allow for some control over dynamic cloth. If this works out, we can probably get a consensus so other clothing modders can jump on the dynamic train!
I know what needs to be done for Yumi's clothes, so the second round should be faster. I still won't like doing the arm pits.
If you're a second mate, you can try out what I have so far in the previous post. Show it off and get them e-points.
If you're reading this far, polls close in roughly 10 hours.
