I've smoothed out a lot of meshes. I think that parts of the mesh weren't supposed to be seen through conventional means so I had to work around that. The socks in particular has a large hole that's cut where the shoes begin.
Low poly stuff, smoothed once now conforming to the body shape.

Honeykatsu will sure be fun. I separated a lot of the mesh in a logical sense if you wanted to use HoneyKatsu.
Then there's the issue with render queues. I guess this picture speaks for itself.
