To celebrate the birth of my patreon page this month, I'm sharing a high-definition image of this old fanart from 2013 that's very dear to me and still looking good despite the years. I believe Kenshin's first raw and brutal OVA was the point of origin for my art.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind you all that I've never (yet) used a single AI tool to create any of my artworks or assets. Mainly for reasons of principle, but also because I don't want an AI to short-circuit certain battles that are crucial to make some progress. It's precisely during these arduous (early) stages of the creative process that you have to fail and understand what works and what doesn't. And most of the time, these precious little steps go straight into the basic skills required to improve your character designs, nature and landscape representation, perspective, anatomy and much more.
I don't know how long I'll be able to hold my ground and stay competitive in a world that is promoting them more and more day by day, but I promise I'll let you know if that ever changes.
