Added 2024-09-27 23:09:45 +0000 UTCI'm sorry for all the pausing in this video to blow my nose lol I eventually gave up trying to blow my nose off camera at the end because I was crying too much and I would have had to pause like every few minutes. Maybe I should have waited until I felt better so I wouldn't have had to do that and so I wouldn't look like a MESS at the end lmao But it didn't hurt my experience at all. I loved the movie so much even though I was loosing my shit towards the end! Can't believe who we lost... I thought everyone was about to die!

I read many years ago that if Firefly had been renewed for a 2nd season there was a plan to connect it to the Buffyverse. Mal was going to walk into a bar and as the camera followed him we would have seen a cameo of Spike there drinking, but no reflection in the mirror lol. I would have loved to have seen that.

Of the many things we missed out on thanks to Firefly's premature cancellation, the fact that we were denied multiple seasons of Summer Glau kicking ass is probably my biggest disappointment. I mean, the fight scenes in Buffy and Angel are good, but the stunt doubling for the majority of the action is very obvious. With Summer, we could see that she was doing like 90% of the fight herself and that makes a big difference.

2024-09-28 05:14:35 +0000 UTCWe've been conditioned by Hollywood for decades that there can only be one black guy / black woman / Asian guy etc. in a movie or a franchise, so when we see more than one, we automatically assume it's the same character. It's crazy how the human mind works. I always knew it wasn't Zoe though, but I thought the bounty hunter / agent was the same guy as the one from the last Firefly episode, which is just as bad. :-P

It goes like this: River is a slayer, but she was taken at a young age and manipulated, it made her prophetic powers more intense but it messed her mind up. She has enhanced strength, fighting skills, prophecy, she can sense reavers, and is very smart. Oh and she draws people to her. All the signs of a slayer. The rest of the theory suggests River Tam is the first Slayer to appear in roughly 500 years. This makes sense given her abilities, general age, and the fact that she was deemed especially rare and interesting by The Alliance.

2024-09-28 02:15:42 +0000 UTCThe thing about Jayne is that he is not a man of words but of actions. Good or bad you have to pay attention to his actions, because he won't say how he feels. He won't tell Simon that he considers him part of the crew now, or that they're in this together, but he see him slide his drink to him. And when the ship is going down, Jayne ends up getting tossed about because he makes sure the rest of the crew is all strapped in first. Putting others before him self compared to the way he used to be.
