Sorry for having to postpone this episode but I really loved it! It felt very Jayne focused and I did not expect an episode centered around him to make me so emotional. I felt kind of sad at the end. It was really cool to see him in a different light. Also, we got some development in the Kaylee and Simon relationship! I hope to see more of them!

Not that important but Jayne and his partner (Stitch Hessian) were being chased by the Magistrate's people, not the Alliance.

2024-07-13 03:06:23 +0000 UTCWe heard Zoe reference Earth (Earth-that-was) way back in the pilot when explaining to Simon the terraforming and colonizing of the different moons and planets "As close to Earth-that-was as we can make 'em" was how she put it. That and this episode are the only references we've gotten so far, if my memory is correct. Even at the end Jayne really still looked like he read struggling with the idea of someone doing something unselfishly. Jayne has precisely two things he's worried about, money and Jayne lol Up until today it never even dawned on him that other people might have other motivations.

2024-07-13 01:27:06 +0000 UTCthe show really starts hittin now... starting with the episode before this, then this one, then its just full force. its terrible how this show only got 14 episodes, but its amazing how developed the characters and world feel already at episode 7.
