Omg I'm so happy after watching this lmao He's back?! How?? Who sent Angel the necklace and how did they get it? So many questions! Also Harmony is back too?! This lifts my spirits so much after finishing Buffy lol I'm so excited for this season!

That's aprocraphyl, and generally based on James' comments during a recent interview on the Inside of You podcast. Angel the series continued to be one of the WB's top rated series even through season 5; and was only cancelled when Joss pushed the network for an early renewal decision - which the exec who made that decision later said was probably a mistake. The network invested a lot of money on brand new sets, with presumably a lot of background or secondary characters. Shows that a network aren't sure about renewing usually have to scale back on their spending; along with the number of recurring and contract actors they have, which is the complete antithesis here.
