I enjoyed this episode so much! I love how they brought alot of things back like the initiative and Amy (even though she betrayed us!). It was nice to see Willow and Kennedy get closer. I think they're cute so far. Also, I was not expecting to get hit with all that emotional scene at the end!

I’m living for your blood-thirst for Amy 🀣

I don't like this episode. It's a Kitchen Sink episode, where they try to throw to much in, either to set certain plotlines up or because none of the individual plots were strong enough to sustain the episode on its own. I've only seen one or two people start to suspect Giles of being the First prior to this episode and go crazy seeing him go out of his way to not touch anything. I think a lot of viewers, including myself, didn't notice the first time around, but it's an interesting detail to look for on re-watches. Might have worked better if Xander getting the call had been a cliffhanger for the episode. Especially given how the next episode picks up. The Spike/Chip plot is... okay. It's one of those things that invariably needed to happen, but it feels clunky. There's also a line of dialogue that bugs me, because when they go to the ruins of the Initiative, Spike mentions them giving him something when the chip would fire - except that didn't happen. The chip wasn't firing when he was in the Initiative, and he wasn't there that long. One of the other vampires tipped him to the blood being drugged and faked being unconscious in order to get the drop on them and escape. And besides, even IF they left any drugs behind, it had been 3 years; would any of that even still work? And then there's the stuff with Willow, Kennedy, et al. I've already covered the reasons I don't like Kennedy in other comment replies, so I'll try not to rehash that. But for starters, just the fact that Willow only had the emotional breakthrough she did in this episode, arguably points to her not being ready for another relationship. I like Alyson, of course, but I feel like once Willow changed to look like Warren, we shouldn't have seen her until she turned back. I think it undermined that plot; which could have been good in its own right and carried more of the episode. Maybe with less Amy, but mainly because I don't like the direction they took her character since de-rat-ifying her. This could have been a good opportunity to see a different side of Adam Busch as an actors, and redeem *him* by having him play more of Willow and the slow transition between her to Warren. As I understand, I believe the guy has gotten a lot of hate for playing Warren; as in hate mail directed him the actor, rather than the character. Personally I think cutting back and forth between Adam and Alyson killed the momentum of the story.
