I'm really tired because I was at the doctors for awhile today so I'm not going to write much here but I loved this episode too. Who the hell took Angel and his new bottle home?!

The sole isn't their consciousness. In season 1's "I've Got You Under My Skin," there was a very much alive, human boy who had no soul, but he still had a consciousness and personality. He was evil as all get out, at least in part due to him not having a soul. And in season 3, we saw Angel's consciousness get swapped with the old man; and of course Buffy and Faith switched minds as well; all of which makes it out that one's consciousness and soul and two separate things.
