I'm a new patreon subscriber to let me share a long story about a little Chessie named Annie. My parents met super young. And my dad who shouldn't have had dogs had Annie. She was on a dog run and so happy to see my mom. That 80 lb dog caught my 95 lb mom by the ankles with her dog run and threw her in the air. Annie was a gunshy hunting dog and was smart. She knew she did something wrong and guarded toddler me and toddler my brother until my mom could get up. Turns out she broke a vertebrae, but sweet Annie made sure everyone was mostly okay
