So happy we got an Anya centric episode! I loved seeing all the flashbacks of her life. It's funny to see that she had the same personality back then. Kind of sad to see her friend die because I thought she was a fun character but at least that means we still have Anya. The ending made me really sad. I miss Anya and Xander's relationship.

I am loving the new dynamic between Anya and Willow. They have never been the closest of friends but last season Anya was the one to try and cool Dark Willow down despite being knocked out several times. And this season it appears that Willow is reciprocating by talking to Anya before she tells Buffy of the attack and once that fails she calls upon D'Hoffryn using the tallisman that he gave her back in Something Blue!

But honestly, it's been like 5 years, and so much happened in between those moments, I think it would just be unnecessary to bring up old memories just to fight about them. Tho, Xander shouldve gotten a bit of a whooping right after it happened if they knew.

2023-05-21 23:37:32 +0000 UTCIn the Season 6 episode Older and Far Away, Halfrek is stabbed by that demon in a sword guy and she lived. Also Buffy mentions what Xander said to Buffy back in the Season 2 finale, "kick his ass", and Willow says how she didn't say that. I wish they didn't just gloss over that and actually talked about it a little more lol. Overall another great episode. Both Xander and Buffy (and Dawn too lol) made some great points. The flashbacks to when Anya was Aud and with Olaf were hilarious and had some really funny dialog and visual gags. She wasn't always afraid of bunnies. I guess her time with Olaf changed that. Plus another song by Anya is, well, a plus.
