I need to know what the hell is going on with Spike? Is it just his soul or does the ancient power they keep talking about have something to do with the way he's acting? I'm still not sure. I do know one thing though, he is not okay and I don't know what would help him get back to normal. Also, why did we have to have another worm demon?! Enough!

That movie was so formative for me as a teen, it surprises me every time I’m reminded it’s not as widely known as it should be. Also, Riley: the final scene is definitely a scene I recommend rewatching after finishing the season. I’m of the opinion that this season is prime rewatchable material all around.

2023-04-25 04:52:39 +0000 UTCThe opening scene is likely a reference to the German experimental film "Run Lola Run" ("Lola Rennt"). It's worth a watch if you haven't seen it. And the lyrics of the song that plays during that scene are "von der Tiefe, verschlingt es" which is German for "from beneath you, it devours".

It's here too. Everybody. Riley: I thought I was understanding. You are. You're not getting everything, but you're not supposed to. You're understanding as much as you're supposed to at this time. The rest will come in time. Most of this episode is just sort of meh to me, but everything with Spike is great. And that ending scene. Holy crap. That scene is fantastic. I love season 7, and I can't wait to see you watch the rest of it. So much more good stuff to come.
