Life Update / Need advice

So last night my cat went missing. Some of you might no care about the details but I figured I would tell you guys what happened in hopes of getting some advice.

I’m guessing he got out when my dad came over. He said he had the door shut but I don’t believe him. I’m pretty sure he was gone for a couple hours before I realized since it’s not unsual for him to be off somewhere in the house doing his own thing. I thought he might be hiding in the house somewhere but when I went outside to look for him, I saw him. He got scared when I called his name and ran off into the woods behind/beside my house. We looked for him in the woods a little bit last night but it was so dark and I was worried we would scare him away again which we might have already done when we went looking. I left blankets, my sweatshirt, some toys, his litter box, his food, and a can of anchovies outside by the garage. I left the door open too so he could get inside if he came back. He didn’t come back last night and I went back out into the woods this morning since I can see way better but I couldn’t find him. The woods aren’t that dense and there’s apartment buildings and other neighborhoods you can get to through the woods so he might not have went like deep in there but I really don’t know.

If any of you have any advice for what I should do based on my situation please let me know. I’m conflicted because just waiting and trying to lure him home feels like I’m doing nothing but I’m also worried that searching for him in the woods could push him further away from the house.

I don’t know what I’m going to do about the schedule because to be honest I don’t feel like filming right now. I just have so much anxiety I can’t focus on anything, so I’ll probably just push it back a couple of days. I obviously know I can’t just stop doing everything until I find him so I wont hold it off for long.
