Breed Guide: Dobermans!

I looove this breed, Dobies are so cute and goofy! If owned by the right people of course.
I think my favorite Doberman from my dog job was Coco, she was huge but SO SO timid, so much so she had to be placed in the small dog yard because she would get too scared in medium or big. So there'd just be a flock of tiny Chihuahuas and Shihtzus swirling around the massive Coco. Later her owners adopted a big mixed breed named Sam and he would defend her honor and taught her to be brave. He was very afraid of humans but Coco mellowed him out and taught him to trust us. And after having Sam to keep her confident she was able to be in the big dog yard with all the other giant breeds!! I was so proud of them, they brought out the best in each other, and it was so cute!

2021-07-05 20:20:06 +0000 UTCI applied to adopt a Doberman once! He was rejected from a group of special service dogs for those who had PTSD from domestic violence. He had mild anxiety but it was enough to disqualify him. I wasn't picked but I'm sure he went to a great home since the rescue was so thorough. He was very loving and playful from the one time I interacted with him <3
