My mom once saw a “dog” on the side of the highway and coaxed it over and she was like “AH. A COYOTE!” (it was a coyote) and then the coyote went “AH. A PERSON!” and ran off. She’s always in rescue mode it’s how we’ve acquired one of our dogs and several cats.

Living out in the countryside I hear coyotes a lot, some of the noises they make are really funny, I've heard some that sounded like a screaming baby before. I even got saved by a coyote once, they've got a special place in my heart.

Squints as they get closer "theres no person with them" they get extremely close "those arent dogs" and two little coyotes trotted past me VERY close and very fast as i tried to look as nonchalant and non threatening as possible lmao!!!!
